    Suggested Activities: NASCAR sponsorship activity Students are to

    select 20 sponsors for a new racing team.These should not be present NASCARsponsors. The NASCAR website(www.nascar.com) has a link providing presentsponsors. All selected sponsors should havethe same target market. Students are toidentify their target market and provide rationalefor their choice of sponsors.

    Naming rights for venues presentation Students are to select a venue with a namingrights contract and research the followinginformation to place into a PowerPointpresentation: terms of the contract (number ofyears/dollar amount), teams playing at venue,capacity, amenities of venue, and views ofvenue. Naming rights information can be foundat www.sportsvenue.com. Search engines canprovide venue sites.

    There is a 5.00 project at the end of thiscompetency.
