Sat., Aug., 15 Arrival Zurich - Mürren Upon arrival at Zurich International

Airport, meet your tour guide who will accompany you throughout. Tour the city and walk through the cobblestoned lanes of the Old City, visit the Gross-munster Cathedral, where Huldrych Zwingli began the Swiss Reformation. Admire stunning stained glass win-dows by Marc Chagall of the Fraum-uenster Abbey and view St. Peter's Church boasting the largest clock face in Europe. Journey to two important landmarks of the Swiss Reformation, near the Grossmunster Abbey and Limmat River. The first one commemo-rates the ordeal of a Christian Anabaptist and the second one is a Mennonite Reformation “rebaptism” site. In the afternoon, board the coach for a magnificent drive along the Alps to Mürren for overnight.

Optional excursion (for additional cost): The Jungfraujoch—top of Europe is the highlight of any Swiss journey. The high-est railway station in Europe is located 11,000+ feet above sea level. Gain ac-cess to a high-Alpine wonderland of ice, snow and rock, admi-rable from the viewing platforms on the Aletsch Glacier or in the Ice Palace. The railway journey is an experience which leads through the Eiger and Monch mountains. At the “Eis-meer” and the Eiger intermediate stations you can enjoy the wonderful and impressing panorama. This excursion depends on weather conditions.

Mon, Aug. 17 Mürren - Colmar/France - TribergFollowing breakfast, our journey takes us to France where we

drive through the Alsace to Colmar. The town is situated on the Alsatian Wine Route and is considered to be the "capital of Al-satian wine”. Explore the well-preserved old town on a brief tour, have lunch (on your own) and some free time before departing for Triberg in the Black Forest. Overnight in Triberg. B

Tue., Aug. 18 Black Forest Today, travel through

the storybook magical Black Forest famous for its Black Forest maids, Black Forest farms, Black Forest gateau, Bollenhut hats, and cuckoo clocks. In Tit-see-Neustadt you will have the opportunity to taste the famous Black Forest cake, do some souvenir shop-ping and have lunch (on your own). Return to Triberg and visit the world's largest cuckoo clock. Another highlight will be the highest waterfalls in Germany. Overnight in Triberg. B

Wed., Aug. 19 Triberg - Oberammergau area This morning, drive south through the Black Forest to Schaff-

hausen/Switzerland to view the Rhine Falls (Rheinfall), Europe's

largest waterfalls. Then onward along the foothills of the Alps through breathtaking scenery to the Lake of Constance, Germa-ny’s largest lake. Here, stop for lunch (on your own) and a short visit to Birnau, a pilgrimage church with a spectacular view over the lake and the Alps in the background. Then, continue on to the Oberammergau area for overnight. B, D

Thu, Aug. 20 Passion Play Oberammergau World-renowned, the

quaint Bavarian town of Oberammergau is the site of the extravagant Oberammergau Passion Play—performed only once every ten years and involving almost all resi-dents of the village. Take part in this once-in-a-lifetime experience! Enjoy leisure time this morning, and beginning in the afternoon attend the Play which has a running time of approx. five hours with a three-hour intermission allowing time for dinner. Overnight will be in Oberammergau. B, D

Fri., Aug. 21 Bavarian Castles - Rothenburg This morning, tour

Neuschwanstein, Hohen-schwangau, and Linderhof Castles. The elaborate Neuschwanstein Castle is surely the crown jewel of Bavaria Castles. Hohen-schwangau is formerly the summer residence for the family of mad King Ludwig II. Lastly we will visit Linderhof Castle—one of Mad King Ludwig’sfantasy castles with its fabulous 105 foot fountain. After lunch (onyour own), travel the “Romantic Road” past quaint towns and vil-lages to Rothenburg o.d. Tauber for overnight. B

Sat., Aug. 22 Rothenburg Take a glimpse into the

middle-ages at perhaps the most famous town on the “Romantik Road”. Rothenburg is a nearly intact medieval walled-city without a single modern building within. Enjoy a tour of the city highlighting St. Jakob’s Church with the famous altar carving by Tilman Riemenschneider. You will have leisure time to stroll the cobblestone streets with their wonderful variety of shops. (Kathe Wolfahrt’s year-round Christmas Village is a must!) Walk along the medieval walls that encircle the town, or just relax and enjoy Rothenburg’s quaint beauty. Overnight in Rothenburg. B

Tour Features and Conditions

Air Transportation: Airfare is not included in the tour arrangements. Raptim is pleased to assist with flight arrangements; air schedules and pricing will be available 11 months prior to travel and communicated to tour guests.

The land tour begins at the Zurich Airport on the morning of August 15, 2020. The tour will conclude at the Frankfurt International Airport on the morning of August 25, 2020. Additional information regarding timing will be communicated closer to the time of travel.

Seat Assignments: In the event Raptim provides group air trans-portation, specific seat assignments as requested by tour members will be submitted to the airline. Due to the nature of group travel, the airline will make all seat assignments, as a result, Raptim cannot guarantee all requests will be honored. Any changes should be requested at check-in by the traveler. Please advise your travel consultant of any special seat-ing needs due to health or mobility, or note under “Airline Seat Request” when registering.

Accommodations: Based on two or more persons sharing a room in accommodations listed in itinerary, or similar. Single rooms are sub-ject to availability at an additional charge. If a passenger cannot supply a roommate, the passenger is responsible for the additional charge.

Meals: In-flight meals and snacks are served according to airline policy. Breakfast will be provided daily. Some lunches and dinners will be provided as listed in the tour itinerary.

Transfers and Baggage: Group transfers between airports and hotels upon arrival and departure are included in the tour price, includ-ing handling of one medium-sized suitcase per person, not exceeding 62 dimensional inches (length plus width plus height) or weighing more than a maximum of 50 pounds. Due to limited luggage storage space on motor coaches, it is important that each person bring only ONE piece of checked baggage. In addition, a flight bag or overnight case may be taken, which must be handled by the passenger at all times. Baggage allowance is subject to change according to airline policy.

Sightseeing and Entrance Fees: Are included as indicated in itiner-ary, using private motor coach or other conveyance, with local guides where necessary.

Tips and Taxes: Service charges and taxes on accommodations and tips to guides, drivers, and hotel staff are included. Tips for lunches and personal services are not included.

Not Included: Air transportation, meals not listed on itinerary, beverages with lunches and dinners, passport fee, travel protection plan, checked baggage fees, and expenses of a purely personal nature are not included. Transportation from your home to departure city and return is not included.

Deposit and Payment: Reservations may be secured prior to February 1, 2020 per payment schedule below. Tour capacity is 27 travelers. In the event the tour fills, a waiting list will be managed.

Passport, Visa & Health Requirements: A valid passport is required. If you do not have a passport, you should apply for one im-mediately. Rates & Fares Information: Rates are based on a minimum of 27 persons traveling together. Fewer tour participants will result in a price increase. The quoted tour price is based on the current rate of exchange. Fluctuation in the foreign exchange rate can result in price increase.

Deviations: Any individual making a change in travel arrangements apart from this group program will be charged a service fee of $50 per person, plus any additional air or land costs incurred. TOUR MEMBERSHIP & MOBILITY REQUIREMENTSTour membership is available to all travelers and will not be withheld if thetour operator can furnish the requirements that an individual may need.Because most of our Retail Tour sightseeing schedules require TourMembers to walk 1-2 miles at a time using a moderate pace and some-times navigate uneven terrain, we cannot accept persons who cannot dothat and instead require special assistance. Should any Tour Member'sparticipation somehow materially add to the tour operator's cost, the TourMember will be expected to pay any additional costs. The Tour Directorretains the right to require any non-sufficiently mobile persons to staybehind when deemed necessary, and also terminate the membership ofany member displaying disruptive behavior, delaying or endangering fellowmembers and/or interfering with the operations of the tour.
