SPEAKERSDr. Rick TobiasRick is one of Canada’s best-known advocates for people whose lives are defined by poverty and exclusion. With credibility earned through front line experience and innovative leadership, he has involved thousands in a vision for lasting change for people and communities. Originally from Saint John, Rick has served the Yonge Street Mission since 1983 including as President & CEO and currently as Community Advocate.

Dr. Terry LeBlancAs Executive Director of Indigenous Pathways, Terry is also the founding Chair and current Director of NAIITS: An Indigenous Learning Community. As part of his work with NAIITS’ partnerships for Indigenous education, Terry serves as adjunct professor at Portland Seminary, Acadia University and Divinity College, Providence University College and Tyndale Univer-sity College and Seminary where he also serves as program elder for the University B.Ed. program. Terry has accrued over 38 years of community work in Native North American and global Indigenous contexts.

Dr. Peter Reid Peter has served as CBAC’s Executive Minister since 2008 and has capably led our churches through significant transition and transformation. He has also served several churches as youth pastor, as solo rural church pastor and as senior pastor in a growing multi-staff church. He continues to lead our family of churches into God’s vision for Atlantic Canada and our shared mission to accomplish our 2025 Goals.
