Georgian splendour Castle Green House is an elegant Georgian mansion, surrounded by Regency-style gardens and views overlooking the River Teifi.

Lovingly restored in 2015, Castle Green House now stands as a national treasure of Welsh heritage. Striking architecture and elegant décor provide an ideal setting for celebrations and ceremonies, adding a touch of classic Georgian splendour to your wedding day.

Upper HouseThe Upper House comprises the stunning and lavish beauty of the Bluebird Room and the Silk Room.

Each is elegantly furnished and decorated, radiating the grandeur of its fine, Regency heritage. The Bluebird Room features handmade wallpaper in a design recreated from the original Victorian paper which once hung there, while the Silk Room offers views across the castle grounds, River Teifi and the town of Cardigan.

Ceremonies are held in one of our two unique licensed venues, so whether you’re planning a large and lavish wedding day or an intimate celebration for your close family and friends, we have a wedding venue to suit you.

The Tower RoomDating back to 1244, the Tower Room was originally part of Cardigan Castle’s medieval tower.

Today, the striking architecture of the Tower Room makes it a beautiful and memorable venue for wedding ceremonies and celebrations.

The Tower Room is licensed for wedding ceremonies and will comfortably seat up to 60.

The Grand PavilionCelebrate, eat and dance the night away in Cardigan Castle’s Grand Pavilion, our elegant marquee-style venue. It’s the perfect space to create your own look.

Ideal for wedding breakfast dining for up to 120 guests.

The Grand Pavilion boasts a party sound system, bar and dance floor.

Best of all, the bar is licensed until midnight.

The 11761176 was an important year. It was the year of a grand feast held by Lord Rhys to celebrate Cardigan Castle being built, making 1176 one of the most significant dates in Welsh history.

Our beautifully stylish and contemporary 1176 venue is named in honour of that date. The glass-fronted restaurant is located on the site of the castle’s former battlement walls and overlooks both the castle grounds and the River Tiefi.

The 1176 is licensed for wedding ceremonies of up to 100 guests and can seat up to 40 guests for wedding breakfast dining.

With the castle closed to visitors, the Aur package offers exclusive use of the whole site for you and your guests.
