8:00-9:25 Language Arts Block

8:00-8:30 Morning Meeting (large group)• Shared reading and read aloud• ‘Book Talk’ story elements – plot, character, setting,

sequencing, making predictions retelling story with details, and identifying main idea

• Work on reading and writing sight words and amazing words• Daily-Fix it grammar and editing • Sound work – blends, digraphs, vowel work
