The main objective of this application was to improve my pedagogical skills in thesubjects I teach by following training courses in a different university settings but with whichwe have common research topics: "Architecture and how it influences the development ofthe rural settlements", and to look for new common research topics with the partnerUniversity in order to encourage the exchange of students between the two universitiesthrough the SEEprogram.
I have organized the program in two parts: participation and involvement inseminars, projects and workshops in my area of interest (Monday-17.02.2020 and Tuesday21.02.2020): "Rural development and how it influences the architecture dedicated tochildren in need "," Traditional architecture and how it is treated in the context of newmodern trends ". Also in the first days we made presentations of the main educationprograms of our University in order to see if it is possible to send 2-3 students from ourFaculty there, in order to realize there practice, during the summer, at their Universitythrough the SEEprogram.
The second part consisted of carrying out studies and research visits on certainroutes conducted on Wednesday 19.02.2020, together with colleagues from the NorwegianUniversity Collegefor Agricultural and Rural Development. The routes were made taking intoaccount the topics discussed: traditional architecture, sub populated rural areas, methodsand strategies to prevent the depopulation of certain areas, the integration of traditionalarchitecture in the context of real estate development with a modern architecturalcharacter.
Thursday, 20.02.2020 I visited the city of Stavanger where we discussed theexamples of integration of classicalarchitecture in the context of the modern developmentof the urban environment, without minimizing its importance and visibility. An example isthe historic Gamle Stavanger district, which contains small restored 18-19 century woodenhouses.Another visited site, important from the point of view of the restoration process, isthe church in the immediate neighboring city: Sola Ruinkyrje church. Friday - 21.02.2020: I visited the rural area between Egwesundand Sogndalstrandwhere weanalyzed the typical fishing villages transformed into holiday resorts, but which haveretained their architectural specificity both in the residential program as well as in thecontext of the landscapedesign.

3.Motivation: I believe that this training hascontributed to the improvement of the courses Iteach and will allow me to continue studying and developing my research in an area that hasalways been in my center of interest. I hope that as a result of the experience gained in thistraining mobility, I have succeeded in strengthening the cooperation in the field of researchon rural architecture and urbanism between the two universities; attracting studentsthrough EEA mobility; as well as gaining information beneficial to my personal andprofessional development.
