o Year 3 visited the Natural History Mu- seum on the 17th of June in relation to their topic on Robots. The Year 6 class then visited the Natural History Muse- um on the 25th of June. The children were really lucky to be taking part in the Mission to Mars: Lego Explorers Workshop. They designed, created and coded a Martian Rover using Lego ro- botics. As it was one of the most inter- esting Educational Visits organised we then arranged for our Year 5 Class to participate in the same workshops. on the 1st of July. School Fair Dont forget that we have our Annual School Fair on Friday 5th of July. This fun packed day is one of the social high- lights of the Iqra School calendar and has always been a family fun packed day for all! There will be lots of fun activities and delicious food stuffs to try. If you would like to help please leave your details at the Office Reception desk or contact the Parent Council directly. The Parent Council is in need of your delicious home baked goods. Cleaner air! We are looking forward to a visit from the Anti idling champion who will be coming in to do some presentations with our children and will be out and about outside the school gates at the end of the day on Tuesday 2nd July. In the meantime, please parents, continue to park responsibly and make sure that, if you need to wait outside the school, do turn those engines off! Engines Off! Special Dates Scooter Safety– For2Feet

Following on from the Bikeability training for our Year 6 pupils earlier this month which proved to be very popular. Iqra School have arranged For2Feet to visit our school on Tuesday the 9th of July to deliver scooter safety training with the Years 1 and 2 class. Children will need to bring their own scooters if they wish to par-ticipate. They will receive 45 minutes training in groups of 12; half of which will take place in the play ground and the remainder on the pavements around the school. This free Training includes: safety checks advice on wearing helmets and pads pavement etiquette Identifying hazards Finding safe places to cross

Keep Smiling Coffee Morning

To support the dental workshops that we will be having on Wednesday 12th Of July, the School Nursing Dental Team will be delivering a very special ‘Keep Smiling’ Coffee Morning’. They will deliver a short informative presen-tation with many facts and helpful tips on how to encourage good dental hy-giene in your children . So please join us on Friday 12th of July at 8.40.
