L2 gave the whole school a lovely rendition of John Taylor’s ‘You’ve got a friend’ at last week’s assembly. Everyone sang well and the actions to go with the song were skilfully per-

Students from P1 and P2 have been helping to re-plant the containers that were moved to the new sixth form garden from outside our old classrooms. We’ve visited Homebase in North Finchley to buy compost and plants. On Wednesday and Friday afternoons, we work outside in the garden re-potting the plants we have. Thanks to Tom for all his hard work with the gardeners and, of course, to the John Lewis gardeners who re-vamped the garden over the last 2 years.

L4 would like to congratulate Omar for his excellent work in PE. A big well done also goes to Kalum and Jack for hard work in French this week.

Congratulations to L2 for winning the whole school Jeans for Genes day competition! What a fabulous pair of jeans you designed! L2 also sang ‘You’ve got a Friend’ to every-one in assembly. What super stars you all

Thumbs up to Reid in L1 for his efforts in drama this week. He showed the class some excellent mime work. D'Anne has been the hardest working student this week and Samuel Joseph has been the most improved. Jenni-fer scored 100/100 in her RM maths on Thursday. Fantastic!!

In L5, we welcome back Matthew A. He was off sick for a few days, but came back on Thursday and worked really well Unfortunately, Miss Giam-barresi has broken her ankle and is missed by all the pupils and staff.

On Thursday, it was a lovely sunny day, so L3 had a trip to the park. We saw the lovely roses and the fish pond.

S5 have made some wonderful folders to put their work in . We are improving our skills in recognising emotions and putting our feelings into words. Our class garden is also beginning to take shape.

Congratulations to Siobhan in S1 for getting 100% in her RM maths and to the rest of S1 who have scores in the 90’s. A special mention for Chekina for being the first to complete her English essay.

In S8, we were making some 3D montages on leaders of countries taking part in World War 2. The boys in the class took part in the

Middlesex FA championship and won, scoring 3 goals. The fun bit was not missing as we had a birthday party, celebrating Matthew’s16th Birthday.

S6 held their first class meeting with Guillaume acting as the Class Representative for the Council. He has taken the peers’ suggestions and will present them at the next School Council meeting.

We have all been working hard on our coursework for our GCSE’s and Entry Level Certificates. It is great to see how seriously the students are taking their work.

In S3, we have been learning about Hippocrates. We dressed up in costumes.

In S7 this week, we had an excellent singing performance from Michael, Roxana and Mrs Ray in circle time. Our domino skills are im-proving, despite the input from Mr. Graham.

S4 had a new member of staff working with us on Thursday, a warm welcome to Laura. We have worked a lot on taking away in maths and endan-gered animals this week.

S2 have finished reading ‘Romeo and Juliet’ and are get-ting ready to start their first Entry Level Paper. Good luck everyone.
