Leading Safer Care
About the Health Foundation:The Health Foundation is an independent charity working to improve the quality of healthcare in the UK. We are here to inspire and create the space for people to make lasting improvements to health services.
We want the UK to have healthcare systems of the highest possible quality – safe, effective, person-centred, timely, efficient and equitable. We believe that in order to achieve this, health services need to continuously improve the way they work.
Come and visit our stand in the Partner Zone to talk to us about our work. Working at every level of the system, we aim to develop the technical skills, leadership, capacity and knowledge, and build the will for change, to secure lasting improvements to healthcare.
One of our key priorities is inspiring improvement in patient safety. Find out more at www.health.org.uk
“Patient safety is as important as ever and we are proud to be giving our full
support to the Patient Safety Congress. It is a great opportunity for us to take forward our work with healthcare leaders and frontline staff. The Congress is an essential platform for helping us to build a network of safety minded people and organisations to test and develop new approaches in patient safety and create an evidence base for safer care.”

From its inception in 2008, the Patient Safety Congress has grown to become the largest patient safety event in the UK and one of the most prestigious in the world.
Coming to you with a fresh outlook on patient safety, the 2012 programme promises to deliver innovative, expert content on the current and future key issues in patient safety. Developed with our strategic partner the Health Foundation and our advisory board, the Congress balances high level policy updates with focused, tangible practical sessions backed by research.
Changes to healthcare have compelled us to look at our health system with new eyes. The new programme structure reflects our need to approach safety and efficiency measures in a more integrated way. Balanced between managerial and clinical content, the programme addresses the need to improve our organisational structures whilst taking personal responsibility and accountability at the front line and board level. The 2012 programme looks at patient safety from the cradle to the grave through innovative new work.
Poster ZoneSharing best practice and innovations with other organisations is a key part of improving safety and efficiency. The healthcare workforce offers a wealth of under utilised knowledge and advancements in patient safety. These schemes, projects and programmes are vital if we are to make a difference in patient safety.
The Patient Safety Congress Poster Zone is an integral part of the sharing of best practice at the event. With over 100 submissions in 2011, this is an opportunity to showcase and network that must not be missed.
To submit your poster visit www.patientsafetycongress.co.uk for a quick how to guide on submitting your poster. The deadline for entries is Friday 30 March 2012.
We thank our strategic partner
