NWA Lancaster Social Evening NWA Lancaster Social Evening NWA Lancaster Social Evening NWA Lancaster Social Evening ---- Thursday 14th AugustThursday 14th AugustThursday 14th AugustThursday 14th August Following on from the success of last year’s Social evening, NWA Lancaster opened its doors again for a night of Stock Judging. Once again the evening was deemed a huge success with over 440 people attending. Thanks go to Mansergh Hall for providing the hog roast and Lancaster brewery with the bar. The evening was based around a stock judging night, with three pens of sheep kindly shown by AC & K Pye & Son (Mule Gimmer Lambs), A & E Clarkson Ltd (Suffolk Prime Lambs), Susan Atkinson (Coloured Ryelands). Competition was extremely close when judging commenced, with the overall winner being Amy Harrison of Kentmere, receiving the Towers Cup, kindly donated by Frank and Sue Towers, Curwen Hill. Many thanks to our master judges, Richard Geldard and Will Sedgley who kindly gave up their evening to support us. A large donation of raffle prizes contributed to the total of £264 donated to North West Air Ambulance and The Alzheimer’s Trust. All in all, a fantastic evening was had and a real buzz was felt throughout the auction. Great to see all farming generations from far and wide coming together. Many thanks to all involved and all that attended.
