THE KETOGENIC OR “KETO” LIFESTYLE INVOLVES CONSUMING A HIGH AMOUNT OF FAT, WHILE REDUCING CARBOHYDRATE INTAKE TO 20-50g A DAY. A standard Keto lifestyle has the following macronutrient breakdown: 70-80% fat, 10-20% protein, and 5-10% carbohydrates. Within 3-4 days of following such a lifestyle, the body’s stored glucose will be consumed, and the body will switch to ketone bodies as a fuel source. Since ketone bodies are produced by the liver using fat, this can lead to rapid weight loss. We recommend our Carb-wise meals for the Keto lifestyle as they include less than 20g of net carbs in every meal.

“DASH” STANDS FOR DIETARY APPROACHES TO STOP HYPERTENSION.

Hypertension is more commonly known as high blood pressure.
