The CVB serves a 3-county area encompassing Adams, Pikeand Hancock, totalling 102,180 residents.
Total Annual Budget: $210,270
The 2015 Local Tourism & Convention Bureau Grant was t$108,567. The Illinois Office of Tourism/ DCEO providesthis incentive-based grant from prior year ’s population,lodging & restaurant taxes.Grant allocations to the counties: 75% Adams, 15% Hancock, 10% Pikee.

The Villa Kathrine has acted as Quincy’s Tourist Info Center since 1987 and has
served over 135,300 visitors from all 50 states & 93 countries.
Tourism payroll in the three counties:$29.96 million (up 1.8 million)
The state hosted more than 109 million visitors, an in-crease of 3.5% over 2013.
Tourism generated $2.32 billion instate/local tax revenues in 2014

The CVB partnered with Arts Quincy in a “Like” Contest, to see which organization could reach 2,015 likes first. Both donated 2,015 items to their chosen charity at the finish. The CVB– nails to Habitat for Humanity.
In 2015 $995,130 was generated by the Hotel/Motel Tax of Quincy..
$96,817 was generated by the Hotel/Motel Tax of Nauvoo.
In 2014, the State of Illinois experienced its 4th consecutive year of record-breaking tourism numbers.
Both directors ended up with a whole pie in the face...

The CVB launched a new & mobile-friendly website in the spring of 2015. Retaining our domain of SEEQUINCY.COM, the new site purveys a clean & contemporary, light & leisurely feel, enticing visitors to our three-county area with colorful images and bright icons.The site was produced locally by Rokusek Design.
The SPEND THE DAY ITINERARY and the new DAY AT THE MUSEUMS pass were created to assist visitors in finding some of our lo-cal treasures in a fun and easy way. The ITINERARY is a quick pick-up at the Visitor’s Center, or a pre-trip download at seequincy.com and highlights iconic Quincy establishments, with a handy map on the back. The Buy One Get One Free MUSEUM PASS serves as a tool to encourage visitorship at Quincy’s eleven museums. A scavenger hunt is included to entice younger patrons, with a free Quincy cap as the prize at the end.

Quincy’s own Old Town Antiques was selected by the state to adorn the cover of its annual guide to antiques statewide. 50,000 cop-ies were printed and distributed throughout the state. Old Town is located on the corner of 18th & Hampshire.

Stunning photographs of the city were taken via Quincy bikes and shared with 175K combined Instagram followers. Five Quincy pho-tos in the East End, downtown, and riverfront garnered 7,044 likes.
