The Nu Flow Advantage

Nu Flow Benefits: •  Approximately half the cost

•  Less tools and equipment

•  Utilizes existing access points, which means less destruction

•  Pipe system is still functional during our work

•  Saves you time, hassle, disturbance

•  Reuses the existing pipes, so there is no added waste to landfills

Repipe Drawbacks: §  Expensive, disruptive, time-consuming

§  Lots of heavy and loud equipment

§  Requires the failing pipe, pipe line or pipe system, as well as concrete and surrounding dirt to be dug up, which creates a huge mess

§  Building is not functional during the work

§  The new metallic pipes are still subject to the same challenges and will continue to experience the same inevitable problems

§  Customer must still have workers clean up construction site, repave floors, fix walls and ceilings

§  Pipes, concrete and dirt go to the landfill

Common Problems for Drain Pipes

•  Cracks and holes in pipes that become brittle from corrosion

•  Missing bottoms from heavy, corrosive waste

•  Debris build-up and obstruction causes limited flow and back-ups

•  Root intrusion in underground pipe lines causes back-ups

The Nu Flow Benefit: Structural Liner

•  No-Dig Installation •  The liner is installed using our patented Pull-in-Place technology

which is inherently better than a traditional repipe •  Liner is installed at an access point and is pulled through to another

access point

•  The Liner is custom built on-site: •  The liner is rolled out and cut •  The ends are prepared and the pull end is attached to the cable

•  We can line more pipes than our competitors: •  We can line drain pipes from ¾” to 10” and larger, in some cases •  Our in-place technology allows us to access pipes our competitors

can’t access

•  Our epoxy prevents future pipe system failures: •  Our structural liner covers cracks and holes and helps prevent

future root intrusion, debris build-up, breaches and other problems

Water Supply Line: SeaWorld San Diego Situation •  12” supply line for a dolphin breeding pool

continuously leaked from a 3-foot-long crack

•  Located 9 feet underground

•  Repipe not feasible because the customer did not want the dolphin tank damaged

Benefits of Nu Flow Solution •  Technicians used existing access points so

the dolphin tank was preserved

•  The surrounding landscape and sidewalks were not disturbed

•  Our structural liner was installed, creating a seamless, protective pipe within the original host pipe and covers all breaks in the pipe line

Situation

•  22-story busy office building in downtown San Diego, California

•  8” sewer main was about 40 years old and had corrosion and cracks, which caused failures

•  The sewer main is located under the parking garage and nearby streets

Benefits of Nu Flow Solution

•  Nu Flow’s trenchless technology preserved the parking garage and streets, preventing disruption and inconvenience

•  Our Pull-in-Place structural liner forms a protective pipe within a pipe to serve as a long-term solution to prevent future pipe failures

Sewer Main: 225 Broadway NBC Building

Roof Drains: Eisenhower Executive Office Building

Situation •  Original pipes had almost entirely

disintegrated

•  Two 70 foot roof drains, each containing a double 45 degree bend

Benefits of Nu Flow Solution •  Pipes are protected from corrosion

and other problems with a long-term solution

Situation •  4" cast iron sewer pipes, located

underneath the mechanical rooms' floors in the hospital's basement, are more than 50 years old

•  These pipes became so corroded that holes formed and leaked foul sewer gases into the mechanical rooms and hallways

•  The not-for-profit hospital wanted the pipes fixed but did not want normal operations disturbed

Benefits of Nu Flow Solution •  Nu Flow used existing access points to

clean and line the aged sewer pipes so there was no damage to the building

•  The 3” by 6” exposed pipe in the concrete floor was also successfully lined

•  Nu Flow worked at night for minimum disruption

Sewer Line: Hoag Hospital Newport Beach

Situation •  3” to 4” horizontal sanitary branch line, located

underground, for the Target’s food court constantly experienced low flow and backups

•  Pipes located 3.5 feet underground and are about 46 years old

Benefits of Nu Flow Solution •  Nu Flow worked at night while Target was closed

•  Technicians used existing access points to clean and line the pipes

•  We did not have to unplug any equipment or move anything in order to install the pipe liners

•  Target and its food court operated normally during the day

•  Our structural liner serves as a long-term solution against cracks, low flow and backups

Underground Drain System: Target

Floor Drains: Coca-Cola

Situation •  Syrup and high temperatures used in

production caused corrosion of cast iron floor drains

•  Equipment removal from the factory and production delay was no option

Benefits of Nu Flow Solution •  Completed quickly without shutting

down plant operations

•  High Heat and Corrosion Resistant Epoxy was used to ensure problem would not come back any time soon

Epoxy Pipe Coating

Nu Flow Epoxy Coating Blown-In Pipe Rehabilitation

Pipe Renewal and Coating Process

1.  Inspect pipes to learn about their condition

2.  Clean pipes using our pneumatic tools

3.  Apply blown-in epoxy coating using clean air

4.  Epoxy barrier cures

Common Problems for Potable Pipes

•  Pinhole leaks, which reduce water pressure and can cause mold/damage

•  Mineral deposits, which limit water flow

•  Rusty water/discolored water

•  Corrosion build-up, which can limit flow for HVAC systems and plug up sprinkler heads for fire suppression systems

•  Fitting and joint leaks

The Nu Flow Benefit: Epoxy Coating

•  Blown-In Installation •  The coating is installed using our patented blown-in technology

which is inherently better than a traditional repipe •  Epoxy coating is applied to the pipes with precision and control

using clean air and access points

•  The epoxy is prepared on-site: •  The pipes are cleaned and warmed •  The epoxy is mixed and applied to the pipes

•  We can line more pipes than our competitors: •  We can line potable pipes from ½” to 12” •  Our in-place technology allows us to access pipes our competitors

can’t access

•  Our epoxy prevents future pipe system failures: •  Our epoxy coating covers pinhole leaks and helps prevent future

corrosion, mineral build-up, pinhole leaks and other problems

1.5 Miles of HVAC Pipes: Maryland House of Delegates Office Building

Situation •  HVAC pipe system is made up of 1.5 miles of black iron pipes

that range from 2.5” to 4” in diameter

•  HVAC system was breached, corroded and non-functional

•  Pipes embedded in parts of the building the customer did not want to disturb

Benefits of Nu Flow Solution •  Nu Flow cleaned and lined the HVAC pipes with our patented

epoxy coating to serve as a long-term solution against future problems

•  We preserved the government building

•  We saved the customer money and time

Situation •  The 27-story beachfront condo’s inbound water

main was very old and corroded, putting all of the residents in jeopardy of suddenly losing water

•  Part of the 6” steel potable water main was located underground, making it difficult to acess

Benefits of Nu Flow Solution •  Nu Flow cleaned and lined the water

main using existing access points, which prevented having to put any holes in the building

•  Nu Flow provided temporary water to the residents so they were not disrupted

•  Nu Flow finished the job in one business week

“The alternatives were costly. We didn't want to re-route or replace the pipe. Nu Flow's solution was much more

preferable. We didn't need to open up walls; we didn't need to tear out pipes. Nu Flow did a really, really good job.”

-Alan Linardich, Gulfview Club Condos, Property Manager

6” Potable Main: Gulfview Club Condominium

Potable System: Historic Salerno Apartments Situation •  80-year-old hot and cold water system

•  Galvanized and copper pipes with diameters from ½” to 1 ¼”

•  The pipes leaked, experienced low flow and would not provide hot water

•  When two new water heaters did not provide hot water, residents knew there was a serious problem with the pipes

Benefits of Nu Flow Solution •  Nu Flow was chosen by the HOA to rehabilitate the failing system

because our no-dig pipe lining technology would preserve the historic building

•  Our solution was a fraction of what a traditional re-pipe would have cost

•  A re-pipe would have taken 2 years and our work took 10 weeks

6-8” Hi-Rise Main: MetLife Building
