Local Government Job Evaluation
Job Evaluation is questionnaire based
Developed with the cooperation of the LGSA, Unions and Councils of NSW
JE model uses a “psychometric” model, ie based on a standardised test of measuring large samples of data
Statistical quality control checks and measures using Benchmark Graphs and Profiling
Approximately 85 Councils are subscribed to eComp
Model 19
was designed in 1992 and launched in 1993
Designed specifically for NSW local government
Introduced to address the issues resulting from Banding & Levelling
Structured on Local Government in the 90’s
Model 20
Redesign of version 19 and launched in 2000
Factor weightings expanded to address more jobs
Additional questions to address ‘new & emerging’ roles, particularly project based & influencing roles
