God bless Texas! Or, should I say God please guide voters to keep Texas RED! This Presi- dent’s Letter is being written in Washington State, as I am mov- ing my parents back to God’s country, TEXAS! I am feeling a tad philosophical as I write this, like a stranger in a foreign land. Things here in Washington State are not like they are in Texas. There’s a “Pot” shop, and I don’t mean pottery, on every corner of Port Angeles. Homeless people and meth addicts stagger down the streets in front of the Goodwill, as I drop off a truckload of items there, very sad. Biden and Harris signs abound on every corner of town. There are some Trump flags and signs, but many yards don’t have signs at all. I’m hoping those are the silent Trump supporters, who are afraid to express their opinions for fear of retaliation. Please don’t let this unbridled chaos take Texas, please do all you can to keep Texas RED! Enough! I’ll get off of my soap- box and on with my President’s letter, but please heed my warning, pray for our country and vote Republican! October is going to be an exciting meeting with our special guest speaker, Steve Munisteri. If you enjoyed Nick Adams and Lt. Col. Allen West, you’ll also be energized by Steve. Make your res- ervations early, since I know it will sell out fast. Our September speaker, Judge Mark Keough, was informative, entertaining and energizing. Please pray for him as he is recovering from a car accident. We look forward to seeing him on the road to re- covery soon. Before we know it Thanksgiving and Christmas will be upon us! Looking forward to finishing out the year with great speakers and lots of activities. According to our bylaws, one of our objectives is “to work for the election of the Republican Party’s nominees.” One of the ways we do that is to give donations to candidates. Our Standing Rules state that funds will be prioritized to Montgomery County seats, so at our September meeting we gave $1,500 each to State Representative Will Metcalf (accepted by Chief of Staff Sarah Henry), 457th Dist. Judge Vince Santini, Sheriff Rand Henderson, and Pct. 1 County Commissioner candidate Robert Walker. All of these have Democrat opponents in the November 3 election.

We began the month with a balance of $31,933. In-come from the United We Stand golf tournament was $8,270, and $90 from membership. There were no
expenditures in August. Ending balance was $40,293.

September 17th is the day we recognize the adoption of the United States Constitu-
tion signed by the delegates in Philadelphia in 1787. It's also the day that NSRW will be donating 600 Constitution book-lets to all the Willis ISD 5th Graders. In October, NSRW will be donating 600 Dictionaries to the Willis ISD 3rd Graders. Because of the generous tax deducti-ble donations from our members, we are very close to obtain-ing the necessary funds for the dictionaries. If you would like to contribute, please bring a check made out to The Diction-ary Project and donation form (on page 11 of this newsletter) to our October 7 Meeting.

NSRW will be sponsoring a military hero through the Governor ’s Award Winning 12 week Triumph Program held at Henry’s Home & Human Sanctuary. Our veteran will complete a therapy program and graduate in December. NSRW will be invited to this graduation, date to be an-nounced later, to celebrate this accomplishment. On November 15 in the late afternoon there will be a gathering at the ranch to bless the property. This will be followed by a campfire gathering. NSRW has been asked once again to bring crockpots of soups to feed this crowd. Please volunteer to help me with this. This is a wonderful opportunity to see this awesome sanctuary of peace. Golf Tournament Dinner Plans
The club is setting up the outside snack bar for us to pick up our boxed barbecue dinners. We will have spon-sorship tables in two different places. We are asking all of our golfers to drive thru the snack bar and then stay in their carts and gather around the scoreboard area for greet-ings, awards, and door prizes. Speakers will be set up so
everyone can hear whether you’re on the patio, on a golf cart or at a special sponsorship table. We will have door prizes!

MINUTES OF THE SEPTEMBER 2 MEETING By Lesta Gotsch, Recording Secretary
President, Kim Greene called the meeting to order at 11am at the Bentwater Yacht Club. June General Meeting minutes, as published in the Beacon, were approved. Chaplain, Keith Ann Gearn gave the prayer and County Commissioner, Robert Walker led the pledges. Treasurer Leigh Billingsley reported a good July-August income with no expenses out. She thanked all those participants in the Light House Circle for their generous donations. Campaign Activities, Stephanie Collins announced good volunteer hours, despite Covid-19. She recently worked with Board members to allocate funds for this year’s candidates and Republican organizations. Money was allocated to the Republican Party of the Texas Candidate Re-source Committee for lower level elections, and Judgeship elections. Four nominated candidates were voted on by the NSRW and received allocated money towards their campaigns: Vince Santini, Judge; Rand Henderson, Sheriff; Will Metcalf, State Representative; and Robert Walk-er, County Commissioner. Sarah Henry introduced Nominating Committee recommendations for NSRW 2021 Executive Board: President, Christy Tatum; 1st VP Pro-grams, Stephanie Collins; 2nd VP Membership, Judy Love; 3rd VP Ways & Means, Gail McKinnon; Secretary, Lesta Gotsch; and Treasurer, Leigh Billingsley. 3rd VP Gail McKinnon updated us on the September 28th Annual golf tournament. Caring for America, Diana Green updated us on the Veterans, and Pro Life upcoming events. Community Engagement, Karen Darcy-Pawlak announced applica-tions for mail-in ballots are due by 10/23rd. 10/5th is the last day to reg-ister to vote. Karen will come to your church or organization, if they need to register voters. Beacon, Communications & Media, Ann Kate reported a donation of $660 was given to “Animeals” a NSRW food drive for cats and dogs on August 9th. She thanked everyone involved in the success of this pro-gram. The “Tribute to Women” luncheon has been moved to 11/14th in Georgetown at the Sheraton Austin Georgetown. We have 3 recipients from NSRW receiving this award: Gail Pritz, Lynn Roulston, and Christy Tatum. We have a table of 10 with a few seats left. Contact Ann if you would like to go honor these special ladies. If interested in being a “Trump Campaign Neighborhood Captain, contact Ann Kate, Precinct Chair for #72. Literacy, Ann South reported we are giving out 600 Constitutions to Willis ISD 5th graders this week, and will be ordering dictionaries for the Willis ISD 3rd graders soon.
