• Need to attract and integrate innovative practices to make skilling attractive and

effective

• Innovation for Skills compendium launched in July ’13 NSDC Partners Meet;

highlighting over 20 innovations across 4 Key Focus Areas

• Over 50 new innovations sourced since Partners Meet

• Pilot Proposals under Review

• Social Impact Bonds for Urban Skills (e.g., plumbing in water services)

• Open Education Resources (OER) for Entrepreneurship

• Technology-enablement for SMEs

• Self-employment models (Auto repair mechanic through CSC VLEs)

• Skilling model for visually impaired (Dialogue in the Dark)
