Prakasha Yoga, A Hatha-Soma Style (offering both private and group)Live your Light! This class combines yoga- the eastern practice of uniting mind, body and spirit through meditation, breathing and classical asanas, with somatics. Experience classical yoga poses, breathing and meditation techniques. Build strength, balance and flexibility on a new level. This practice, based on eastern tradition and modern somatic philosophy of uniting mind, body and breath to develop sensory awareness, is designed to balance and tone the body, focus the mind and recharge the spirit. A series of somatic movements will be followed by seated, standing and reclined asanas which will leave you feeling rejuvenated and relaxed. Reiki will be offered during savasana. All experience levels are welcomed and honored as modifications will be presented. Students are guided to practice mindfully and within his/her capacity.

Somatics(offering both private and group)“Somatics is a holistic and interdisciplinary approach that connects body sciences, and movement to help each person understand more about his or her body/mind and move toward greater integration.” This gentle movement modality, focused on releasing habitual muscle contraction, is designed to foster an internal sensory awareness to re-educate the body, releasing tension and promoting freedom of movement.

Private Reiki SessionsReiki is a stress reduction and relaxation technique from Japan that can also promote healing. It is based on the idea that an unseen “life force energy” flows through us through a “laying of the hands.” Reiki treats the whole person leaving them feeling relaxed, peaceful, secure and with a feeling of well being.

Sunrise and Moon Rise Yoga Weather permitting, classes may be guided on our outdoor yoga nature deck, set alongside the Milwaukee River behind the Arts Mill. Enjoy practicing in this peaceful immersion in nature.

Private Thai YogaThai Yoga is a dynamic bodywork therapy based on yoga and Ayurveda that was born in the temples of Thailand. The practitioner guides the recipient through a series of yoga postures while palming and thumbing along the body’s energy lines and pressure points. Together these actions result in a comprehensive full body treatment that relieves muscular tension, improves circulation, boosts the immune system and balances the body energetically. Thai yoga is performed on a comfortable thick cushion on the floor. Both client and practitioner are dressed in comfortable clothing allowing ease of movement.
