What began as an acoustic side project between the Transit

vocalist Joe Boynton and guitarist Vinny Comeau in 2010

between touring has lead to a full-time band over the course

of the last year. The duo signed with No Sleep Records in late

2012 and entered the studio with co-producer Gary Cioffi, Jr.

(Transit, Misser) in early 2013 to record their first full-length

with drummer Aviv Marotz, guitarist Mat Morin and Bassist

Mike Moschetto in tow. Once in the studio Comeau departed

the band, leaving the rest of the guys primary reign over the

songwriting and direction of the new material, resulting in a

bright and airy collection of ten beautiful indie-pop tunes that

exhibit a range of styles and moods, from upbeat power-pop

to solemn folk, which any fans of bands like Death Cab For

Cutie, Circa Survive, Maps & Atlases and Rilo Kiley will

undoubtedly adore.

Info:After nearly a dozen personnel rotations, thrash metal outfit FUELED BY FIRE have fine-tuned their soundinto an explosive act in the vein of '80s speed demons Slayer, Overkill, Testament and more. The group started theirhumble beginnings in 2002 and they immediately recorded their first demo entitled "LifeDeathand FBF" in April2004, which was used to lock a gig at The Whiskey a GoGo the band immediately gained momentum and built up afollowing playing shows throughout L.A. and surrounding areas, and playing along side Heavy Metal legends such asExodus, Possessed, Exumer, Municipal Waste, Heathen, Hallows Eve, Hirax, Toxic Holocuast, Agent Steel and manymore... Since their debut album Spread The Fire made a huge impact on the metal scene, it was their secondalbum Plunging Into Darkness that really made the difference and put FUELED BY FIRE on the thrash metal map forgood. Now those insane thrashers are back with their newest effort called Trapped in Perdition. I would say thebiggest difference to the previous album is the influence. We have more of an old school death metal influence alongwith late 80s early 90s thrash metal. A little heavier stuff on this one and lots of solos. Also some more technicality. Ithink it's a step up from Plunging Into Darkness , says singer and guitar player Rick Rangel. No wonder, since thealbum was recorded where Death Metal was most alive, in Florida, where FUELED BY FIRE recorded in the so-calledMana Recording Studios with death metal legend Erik Rutan ofHate Eternal. Such an amazing dude, and good friendnow. That fucking guy taught us a lot and worked our asses off in that studio! Exactly what we wanted. There is

always room for ideas and we threw tons of ideas around on this record. Chris worked on his solos really hard withRutan when he didn't have one for a song yet. There was also tons of ideas for vocals and other things like effects, allsorta of shit! The cover art, which was done by artist Axel Hermann who also d id artworks for MORGOTH, ASPHYX,ICED EARTH and many others, also portraits the death metal influence with this dark, disturbing and gloomy piece ofart. One is really trapped in perdition, there aint a way out! End of 2012 the band embarked on a lengthy Europeanrun with the likes of KREATOR, MORBID ANGEL and NILE and they will do a South American tour as well as anextended US tour this Summer along with Artillery, Gama Bomb and Bonded By Blood in August/September; aEuropean tour for early 2014 is in the works.
