•Target group: persons with special educational needs, 15 to 25 years
•Duration: max. 3 years; full time (38,5h per week)
•Aims: „learn to work“, social competences, every day competences etc., embedded in working context
•Fields of working: organic gardening, agriculture with wood and metal workshop, organic bakery
•Problem: no accreditation of this (and other) training program no certificate
Chance B – Basic VET

• NQF Inclusive = Leonardo da Vinci Transfer of Innovation Project within the Programme of Life Long Learning (LLL)
• Transferbase = LLL Project „Happy Farm“ (2006-2008), aim: development of an accredited training program for organic agriculture for people with special educational needs / people disadvantaged at labour market succesfull in SI, but not in HU and AT
• 2007: first information about EQF & NQF

• Modell for basic non-formal VET programmes (lower level than existing accredited VET like e.g. apprenticeship) to be accredited with support of the NQF
• Improved attractiveness of basic non-formal VET increased motivation of these learners to participate at lifelong learning
• Higher transparency and quality of these VET programmes out of defined criteria
• Higher transparency and objectivity concerning the learning outcomes due to an assessment by external assessors
• Increased chances at labour market increased inclusion

•Austrian NQF is not set up by now: • Simulation phase of corridor 1 (formal learning) = running• Corridor 2 & 3 (non-formal learning & informal learning): under
construction not clear at this moment if / how the project results can be implemented, BUT:
•The project and it’s aims became well know among training providers, public boards (e.g. bmukk), experts and researchers in educational fields•New project KOMKOM (funded by bmukk) will start 10/2011, Chance B = partner; content: assessment of competences and definition of learning outcomes at NQF level 1 & 2 in social integration enterprises •Improved quality of Chance B’s confectioner training:learning outcomes approach intensified
