Social Media Marketing is an opportunity for businesses to interact with customers or potentional customers online in an almost instant form. Long gone are the days where everyone gathers around the TV for a family show or listens to the local radio- or heck, even reads the newspaper. Everything is individualized and personalized and the blanket marketing idea simply does not work anymore.

Using several platforms such as Facebook, Youtube, Google+, Yelp, Instagram, and Twitter, you will be able to make potential customers aware of you and your company through a real live connection with not just you as a security professional, but you as a person.

This two part course covers the entire spectrum of experience. The beginner course is aimed at those who are new to social media and may not even have accounts yet. The intermediate course will cover very advanced features and show how to really build a sharp power account that will outshine the competition.

Dan has managed retail businesses since 1974. In 1988 He began managing H L Flake and has been there ever since. In the past, he owned a small chain of bicycle shops with stores that averaged over 3000 sq ft of space. His business was a top 5% performer in sales volume when compared to others in the industry. When many other shops struggled to sell 1000 bicycles annually, one of Dan’s stores sold 990 bicycles in a two month period.  Dan also served as Store Manager and as Senior Manager over eighteen stores of a 72 store Hi-Lo Auto Parts chain.  He eventually moved up to Chief Operating Officer, overseeing stores that stretched from Metairie, Louisiana to Laredo, Texas. The stores averaged 9,000 sq ft in size with over 1500 feet of merchandising in front of the counter.  Inventory was difficult while tracking 30,000 different items without the use of a computer.  These stores had some of the highest gross sales in the Texas / Louisiana region, with annual sales over 70 million dollars.  He left Hi-Lo Auto Parts in 1988 to purchase H L Flake Company.  He credits his success today to the lessons learned behind the sales counter many years ago.
