~~ Be Watchful! Be Alert! ~~~~ Be Watchful! Be Alert! ~~ Scripture is not just about something that happened a long time ago. The Word of God is meant to impact our lives, and the lives of those we serve, in the present day, in the here-and-now. BUT we have to be active participants in that Word’s transforming power. Our life, as it has been said in so many ways, is no dress rehearsal. It is for REAL. Maybe we can begin to let the Word enter our lives by listening to today’s readings and reflecting on these questions:

[] What verse spoke to you most and how does it relate to your life?

[] The first reading tells us that God is the Potter and we are the clay. What does this image of our relationship with God mean to you?

[] Paul states that we "lack no spiritual gift." Can you name a spiritual gift that God has given you? How do you use it to bless others?

[] The gospel speaks about each servant being given a particular task to carry out until the owner of the house returns. What task has the Lord given you at this time? How would you name it? How well are you carrying it out?

~~ Este Atento! Este Alerta! ~~~~ Este Atento! Este Alerta! ~~ La Escritura no es solo a cerca de algo que pasó hace mucho tiempo. La Palabra de Dios está destinada a afectar nuestras vidas y las vidas de aquellos a quienes servimos, en el día de hoy, en el aquí y el ahora. Pero tenemos que ser participantes activos en el poder transformador de la Palabra. Nuestra vida, como se ha dicho de muchas maneras, no es un ensayo general. Es REAL. Tal vez podemos empezar permitiendo que la Palabra entre en nuestras vidas escu-chando las lecturas de hoy y reflexionando sobre estas preguntas:

[] ¿Cual versículo te habló más y como éste se relaciona con tu vida?

[] La primera lectura nos dice que Dios es el alfarero y nosotros somos el barro. ¿Qué quiere decir esta imagen del significado de nuestra relación con Dios?

[] Pablo afirma que nosotros (no carecemos de ningún don espiritual). ¿Puedes mencionar un regalo spiritual que Dios te ha dado? ¿Cómo lo usas para bendecir a otros?

[] El Evangelio habla a cerca de la tarea particular que se le ha dado a cada sirviente para llevar a cabo hasta que el dueño de la casa regrese. ¿Qué tarea te ha encomendado el Señor en este momento? ¿Cómo la llamarías? ¿Qué tan bien la estas llevando a cabo?

Esta semana vamos a intentar, cada uno de nosotros, a escuchar con todo nuestro ser a la Palabra de Dios. Vamos a ser movidos a actuar en esa Palabra. “O“OURUR GGIVINGIVING TTREEREE” ” Our Giving Tree is up and decorated with ornaments made by OLGC students. Please take one and return the item on it as soon as possible. Our goal this year is the same as last year, we would like to make it a warm win-ter for all, therefore we are asking for hats, gloves, mit-tens, scarves and blankets.
