ere is a yearning in hearts weighed down by ancient grief and centuries of sorrow. ere is a yearning in hearts that in the darkness hide and in the shade of death abide,

salvation.ere is a yearning that lls the hearts of those who wait the day of His appearing. ere is a yearning when all our sorrows are erased, and we shall see the One who placed

within our hearts a yearning. Emmanuel, within our hearts, the yearning.

Sunday, November 294 p.m. Sanctuary

is Sunday, November 29, is the rst Sunday of Advent, a season when we prepare ourselves spiritually for the coming of the Christ Child at Christmas. One of the ways that many people observe this season is by giving to someone in need. A wonderful way to do that is through the Oak Grove Advent Oering. Each year our Advent Oering funds mission ministries that meet the real needs of people. From feeding children at Montclair Elementary School to caring for low income senior adults at Moun-tain View Personal Care Home, your Advent oering makes a dierence! Please use the special Advent oering envelope that was mailed or pick one up at church. Checks should be made payable to Oak Grove UMC and marked “Advent Oering.” You can also give online (www.oakgroveumc.org). ank you for your generosity.

Advent Offeringfor Missions

Each member is assigned to a team and each team goes one Friday per month to do a Bible study after school at Montclair Elementary School. e children are eager to learn and are very responsive. Please email Zoe Hicks ([email protected]) if you are able to serve on a team or drive the bus.
