UNC President Kay Norton recently announced that she will retire at the end of this fiscal year in June, 2018. The university’s Board of Trustees has formed a Search Committee to hire President Nor-ton’s successor. This committee includes the lead-ers of each of UNC’s shared-governance groups: Classified Staff Council (CSC), Student Senate, Faculty Senate, and Professional Administrative Staff Council (PASC).

Additionally, the CSC Chair continues to partici-pate in the conflict resolution core work group, which is consulting with a conflict resolution expert in the design of UNC’s process for handling con-flict complaints. If you have any suggestions about this conflict resolution process, please contact [email protected].
