Hello, My Name is...Sketch-Comedy Show 11/5 and 11/19/2017 8:30 pm—9:30 pm

Come have a laugh with UNC's very own Sketch-Comedy Troupe. We perform live sketches as well as video sketches every other Sunday of the school year. Bring your friends and share a laugh with other students on campus.

Safe Zone 101 Training 11/7/2017 1:00—4:00 pm

This is a three-hour training session designed to educate and empower participants to be agents of change against issues faced by individuals across the gender and sexuality spectrums. While creating “safe spaces” for individuals is the long-term goal, it is not fair to guarantee safety to anyone. Our pro-gram works to inspire folks to craft their own strategy for being affirming and inclusive individuals for others. By doing so, we hope to create a network of folks who are dedicated to creating and sustaining a long-term safe community. Spectrum’s Annual Drag Show 11/7/2017 7:30—10:00 pm The Drag Show is a yearly event where we bring in drag performers from all across Colorado and UNC. The event is free for all students, but donations are taken to benefit the Spec-trum organization and half are given to a scholarship fund through UNC's Gender & Sexuality Resource Center.

Classified Staff Council Meeting 11/8/2017 8:15 am—9:45 am

Staff Forum: Emergency Response Training & Active Shooter 11/14/2017 11:30 am—1:30 pm

What’s your role in an emergency? This training will provide important information explaining what you should be prepared for if an emergency arises on campus. Information will be shared about what different types of responses you might see from emergency personnel on campus.

Campus Culture Corner

UNC President Kay Norton recently announced that she will retire at the end of this fiscal year in June, 2018. The university’s Board of Trustees has formed a Search Committee to hire President Nor-ton’s successor. This committee includes the lead-ers of each of UNC’s shared-governance groups: Classified Staff Council (CSC), Student Senate, Faculty Senate, and Professional Administrative Staff Council (PASC).

Additionally, the CSC Chair continues to partici-pate in the conflict resolution core work group, which is consulting with a conflict resolution expert in the design of UNC’s process for handling con-flict complaints. If you have any suggestions about this conflict resolution process, please contact Maggie.Kinney@unco.edu.
