Good day my community members, if you enjoy hearing stories of our history, how our people survived, how our people got along, the hunting, fishing, the games they played. Well On
November 9-2016, the Cree-ators Recovery Night program is proud to present, the stories of
“Wesahkechk”. Kurtis McAdam and Paul Daigneault will be performing stories of our legend,
our brother, Wesahkechk. If you do not know who this legend is, you are more than welcome to come over, show time will commence at 6p.m, lunch will be provided as well as door prizes
which will consist of 4 food baskets. Please come and laugh your tummies out, if you need

Office. You Cannot be licensed to work in the industry until you
passed this certification course. When you pass 75%+ you are

The sturgeon Lake First Nation requires a qualifies Director of Education wit experience in
school administration. Reporting to the Education Advisory Committee and Chief and Coun-
cil, he or she will be a member of the school administrative leadership team.
Director of Education
Key Responsibilities:
Accountable to Chief and Council and the Education Advisory Committee and is responsible
for the overall coordination and supervision of the activities of the Sturgeon Lake Central
School and Post-Secondary and Adult Education in accordance with the vision, mission,
values and beliefs upon which the organization was founded. The Education Director’s broad duties include overseeing the administrative and organizational management, finances,
program planning, reporting and evaluation, community engagement and communications,
human resources management and development of the Sturgeon Lake Central School. Other
duties outlined in the policy manual and requested by Chief and Council.

White Buffalo Youth Inhalant Treatment Centre
Casual Youth Worker
The White Buffalo Youth Inhalant Treatment Centre is now accepting applications from individuals for the position of
Casual Youth Worker.
Under the direction of the Program Coordinator of the Treatment Centre, the successful applicant will be responsible for
the supervision of the residents of the White Buffalo Treatment Centre including all aspects of residential care.
This position would work various shifts from 8 to 12 hours that includes weekdays, weekends and statutory holidays.
Qualifications:
-Certificate or Diploma in the field of addiction, social work, psychology, or human services AND three (3) years direct
work experience. OR
-Bachelor’s Degree in the field of addiction, social work, psychology, or human services AND one (1) year direct work
experience.
Other Requirements:
-Ability to use de-escalation skills with youth clients and seek assistance from Supervisor and/or other staff.
-Ability to understand the awareness of and sensitivity to the needs of youth and youth culture that WBYITC serves.
-Knowledge of accepted and effective techniques for working with at risk youth with diverse family dynamics.
-Excellent communication skills, professional demeanor, sound judgment, and strong organizational skills.
-Ability to impact client retention through mentoring, motivation, and monitoring practices.
-Detailed knowledge of all current Microsoft Office software applications and programs, including an aptitude and work-
ing knowledge of computer courseware and hardware.
-Requires CPR and First Aid certification in order to attend to minor injuries, etc.
