NOVEMBER 2016 ISSUE # 490 michaelbuffalo.net Greetings Buffalo Gals and Guys! Looks like Winter is hitting. I woke up freezing this morning, but still didn’t turn on my heat! Yes, I am that tight! LOL. No, I figure I will be burning up enough of that expensive gas soon enough! I have been getting back out and performing and it has been a blast. There are a few dates in this newsletter, but if you wanna keep tabs on all of my appearances, both in music and in literature, surf on over to michaelbuffalo.net. Click the “Tour” tab. Many have asked when I am going to record another album. I am happy to say that I just completed redording a new EP of origi- nal songs in Austin, Texas, produced by Billy Eli. We hope to have it out after the first of the year. I am also happy to say that my next full length album will begin production in the Spring, produced by the legendary Capricorn Records producer Paul Hornsby! As for writing, my latest book for Mercer University Press was publishedin October. Capricorn Rising: Conversations in Southern Rock, with a foreword by Willie Perkins, collects over 15 years of interviews I conducted with Capricorn related folks, including Gregg Allman, Dickey Betts, Doug Gray, George McCorkle, Tom Dowd, Johnny Sandlin, Paul Hornsby, Bonnie Bramlett and many more! Be sure to follow me on Twitter @buffalotribe, and on Facebook and Instagram for updates, photos and more. FYI, books are available at Amazon and other online book retail- ers and at many indie bookstores, or you can order from me. Just email me at [email protected] We also have CDs of Something Heavy, Southern Lights and Midwest Carolina Blues, as well as download cards of my first solo CD, (now out of print) Happy to Be Here, from cdbaby. Write for prices. CHEAP! Also available now, my new self-published book, My Kind of Country. It’s my interviews with some great country music and Outlaw country artists from the past 15 years, including Bobby Bare, Cowboy Jack Clement, Jerry Reed, David Allan Coe, Shooter Jennings, Hank Williams III, Billy Eli, and many more.
