2015 ADCC MEMBERS

Welcome from The ADCC President and Vice President

Greetings!

Thank you for being a part of the dance competition industry. As the national associa-tion in this industry, The Association of Dance Conventions & Competitions (The ADCC) is working together to recognize and support excellence in all aspects of the dance competition industry.

We do this through our Scholarship Program, our Studio of Excellence Awards, group buying opportunities and through networking gatherings for Members. We believe that we are all stronger together!

One of our recent offerings is this magazine, The Competitive Advantage, a brand new resource guide listing ADCC Member Competition and Convention event dates for the 2016 season. It also includes information on our Scholarship program, Studio of Excellence Awards and our organization. We hope you find it useful in planning your 2016 season.

We are delighted to have you as a client and wish you the very best of luck and contin-ued success during the 2016 season!

With warmest regards,

Daniel DeFranco Drew VamosiPresident Vice President

CONGRATULATIONS TO OUR 2015 STUDIO OF EXCELLENCE WINNERS

Greetings from the Executive Director, Tammy Hauser

Welcome to the first issue of The Competitive Advantage!

2014-2015 was a busy and exciting season for The ADCC. We accomplished many of our initiatives and set three strategic goals for 2016: 1) Provide networking events for our Members, 2) Expand our Group Buying Opportunities and 3) Grow our dance scholarship program.

We elected a new Board of Directors, new slate of Officers and initiated four Board committees who will carry out our programming work. Finally we revised our Bylaws and grew Membership from 7 Competitions to 20!

SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAM

The ADCC Scholarship program has also made a difference to college-bound dancers. In September, we received 51 applications for the 2015 awards and awarded 15 scholarships of $750 each to terrific young dancers across the country to pursue their post-secondary education. In 2014, we awarded 24 scholarships ranging from $500 to $1,000.

ANNUAL MEETING

In September we also hosted our first Annual Meeting of the Membership at the JW Marriott in Las Vegas. We heard from our Vendor Affiliates: DRC Video Productions and DanceComp Genie, learned how to save money with Business Partners National Car Rental and HelmsBriscoe, listened to a panel of experts representing years of experi-ence in the industry, and participated in an open forum and committee meetings.

In addition, The ADCC recognized Art and Nancy Stone for our first Lifetime Achievement Award and celebrated our first six Industry Awardees at our Gala with entertainment provided by Tony Coppola.

To find out more about The ADCC and Studio Affiliate Membership or to participate in our 2016 Scholarship and Awards programs, please visit our website: www.theadcc.org.
