Nearly 4 million Americans off SNAP

$11 billion total cut over 3 years

A family of 4 lost up to $36 a month

Equivalent of cutting 10 million SNAP meals a day

Our Message

• Oppose cuts to SNAP in any final farm bill

• On Nov. 1, all SNAP households already saw monthly benefits reduced – whether or not Congress is able to pass a farm bill

• Support Senate improvements to international food aid

The Key Questions:

• Real revenues?

• Parity between defense and non-defense spending?

• Protect anti-hunger programs from cuts?


Biggest Threat:

So anxious to get a deal that ends up leaving out what should be lifted up


• Replace sequestration with revenues and responsible spending cuts

• Protect non-defense spending from sequestration just as much as defense spending
