Volume 3 Issue No. 11 Serving the Inland Empire and High Desert Communites November 2012 Most families throughout the United States celebrate Thanksgiving day but many do not know the history. History is important, it is important for us and our children to understand and appreciate the significance of the holidays that we celebrate. Thanksgiving day, like 4th of July, Veteran’s Day, Presidents Day, Martin Luther King Day and Memorial Day are not only just holidays but have a significance and meaning to our country. One of the first Thanksgiving celebrations was said to be in 1621 when the Plymouth colonists and Wampanoag Indians had a harvest feast. To understand the entire history we have to go back a bit more to the colonists that came to the United States on the Mayflower in 1620. In 1620 the Mayflower, a small ship, arrived to the United States near Cape Cod after approximately 66 days of travel. There was 102 passengers aboard this ship, these were people coming to this land with the hopes of freedom of religion, prosperity and land ownership. A month later they traveled to a place called Plymouth near the SouthEast corner of Massachusetts. These Pilgrims had high hopes but were ill prepared for the treacherous weather and their lack of knowledge of the land in which they were settling in. Many of these people, who we now refer to as Pilgrims, stood aboard the ship because of the very cold weather. More than half died because of the weather or because of contagious disease and/or exposure to the elements. When spring came the remaining Pilgrims were paid a visit by a Abenaki Indian who spoke English, days later this Native American brought a man named Squanto, who was from the Pawtuxet tribe. Squanto had previously been held captive and sold as a slave by an English Captain but had since escaped to safety and returned to his homeland. Squanto was a kind man, he taught the weak and ill Pilgrims how to grow crops, catch fish and even which poisonous plants should be avoided. He also helped form an alliance between the Pilgrims and a local tribe called the Wampanoag tribe. In November 1621, after the first successful corn harvest, the then Governor organized a feast to celebrate and invited many of their Native American allies to celebrate with them. According to the journals of chronicler Edward Winslow the native Americans came with five deer and four men were sent out on a fowling mission in preparation for the celebration. This “Thanksgiving” feast and celebration lasted three days! This is what we now consider the first Thanksgiving. Search Engine Marketing: Is It For Your Business?

By: Ricky FillGetting creative with CSS3CSS3 is used in organizing the styleand layout of Web pages. It is the latest standard in the CSSseries. CSS3 offers a wide variety of new trends to make an impactwith your web designs. With many exciting new functions andfeatures, CSS can be used as a powerful tool in website designingand development. A CSS3 refers to the technical stipulation of alayout. It ensures that a web page will appear precisely the waythe website developer has specified. As a website designer wehave to look into the capabilities of CSS3 and need to make themost of it. The basic approach of CSS3 in web designing is tomake the web page user friendly by removing loads ofcomplications from it. The changes that CSS3 has brought intothe website development market are quite amazing. Using CSS3can speed up the process of website design and development andalso speed up your web site.Using CSS3 to your AdvantageKeep all the things side apart, here are some advantages of CSS3 for you: 1. Better search engineresults: With CSS3, you can keep your HTML code much cleaner

which in turn helps search engine crawler in getting the realcontent from your site very easily. You can also put any contentanywhere in your web page and no longer each individual pagehave to be simplified to replicate the new style. By using thiswebsite design technique you will make much greater consistencythroughout the site easily. 2. Lightweight coding: In the field ofwebsite development, no one likes to wait for anything to come. This condition also applies in loading of web pages. When awebsite page takes a lot of time to load, generally users leave thatpage. By using CSS3, web pages can be made lighter which willallow the site to load faster. As table layout format is not used inCSS3, the sites acquire less memory and load faster. 3.Accessibility and usability: In website designing you have to makeit understandable that the content of the site must be validated inall formats of the browsers. A web designer has better control overa website by using CSS3. CSS3 allows for more compatible styleelements, including font size and line heights through which webpages can be used more easily by people with disabilities. Websitedevelopers can craft specific CSS files especially for printing, ormobile devices, as well as the customary computer screen and in

doing so making websites fully multimedia applications. 4.Isolation and Differentiation: With the introduction of the CSS3format, website designers have a lot to offer in development of aweb page. CSS3 allows changes and modifications to be made inindividual modules. CSS3 format helps users in separatingpresentation from structures. In this technique, style sheetsdefined presentational characteristics whereas the documentstructures were defined in separate heading. This eases themaintenance of the web page in efficient and comfortablemanner. When you start styling your content with CSS3 modules, youwill probably never want to go back to using the old tags forstyling. You must use CSS3 to determine its full potential.Flexibility is the most useful features of using Cascading StyleSheets. One of the important things you require to gaze at beforeusing this technique is what browsers the greater part of yourusers uses to visit your website. The reason behind this questionis that it sometimes may be very difficult to make your CSS spritesfriendly with many of the browsers depending on the techniquesyou use.

By Ethel MartinMillerI thought I would write about what Iknow and recall about celebratingThanksgiving Day. First, it is a day whenpeople pray and give thanksgiving to God.It is set aside by many to make a specialeffort of recognizing their blessings. Peoplethank Him for their family and friends, which has made their lives all the moreworthwhile. Thanksgiving Day is filled withfamily members and close friends enjoyingeach other, eating and having fun.As I look back and remember some of mywonderful Thanksgiving Days I recall, as achild, the turkey stuffed with my mother’sfamous recipe and how she would put aportion of the dressing inside the turkey.Oh my God, it was wonderful! I alsoremember the big pot of collard greens, candied yams dripping in their owndelicious sweet syrup, macaroni cheese, corn bread, and let’s not forget her sweetpotato pies and coconut cakes. I canremember a big punch bowl and how mymother would make it so special bychopping fresh cut apples, bananas, andoranges and mix them into the punch. We

would drink the sweet punch and have thefun of eating delicious fruit at the sametime.Yes, many of us will have a wonderfulThanksgiving Day, but let’s not forget aboutthe many individuals who will be verylonely or hungry on Thanksgiving Day. Wecan reach out to them in many differentways, such as maybe an invitation to yourhome, donating money to one of the manynonprofit organizations preparing mealson that day, or donating food to the nonprofit organizations’ food supplies.Another means of making a contributionwould be to give a restaurant gift certificateto a deserving person on Thanksgiving Day.If there is division within your family, please take Thanksgiving Day as anopportunity to invite your family membersfor dinner and mend your family’srelationship. Pride is terrible and hascaused many families to remain broken, and so I am in hopes that this ThanksgivingDay can be special and will be the start ofnew relationships within your family.Happy Thanksgiving Day.

Ninetysix percent of people allow theircircumstances to control their lives. There are threetypes of people. Which one are you? 1. people whomake things happen. 2. People who watch thingshappen. 3. People who asked “What happened?”When I think about college students, unemployedindividuals, stay home moms and the many seniorsthat are in need of extra income or income that willsustain their lifestyle, I can only encourage them totake a look at MLM companies. The large companiesthat many of us relied on are gone or not hiring. Theone thing that I know for sure is MLM companies arestill here and giving individuals the opportunities toearn the income needed if they are willing to roll theirsleeves up and work their business, mind you it is yourown business. When it comes to MLM, if you offer a product thatmakes a difference to people, people will buy it againand again, thus you will create residual income. Andthis income will come to you every month. Thekeyword here is “consumable” product that makes adifference. I will introduce you to a MLM companythat manufacturers over 350 products that are saferfor your family, safer for your home and safer for theearth, meaning natural, organic and green products. On top of that you will have people who will look atyou and say”hey that is a great business”, “I want toknow how I can do what you’re doing” “I want to takeit seriously”. That is when you start leveraging andgetting a share of all sales made in your team. As PaulJ. Getty said: “I would rather have 1% of the effort of

100 people, than 100% of myself”. Start your ownMLM business and work hard you will be able tochange your lifestyle.Network Marketing business is the only businessthat gives you free training and free coaching to helpyou grow your own business. Many people who don’tknow the industry think it is about selling products. The main purpose is to train, coach and mentor peopleto duplicate what is done to make one successful, thatcreates massive leverage. Besides MLM it’s a brillianttraining ground for improving your skills like:communication, leadership, public speaking, presenting, marketing and before you know it you willbe training others. The big question I would like to askis where can a person find a business opportunity thatallows an ordinary person (with limited capital) toearn extraordinary income within a few years andachieve freedom of more choices, freedom of time andfreedom of your finances?Yes, it true, you need to work at it, it is a businessnot a job. It is not for everyone. People do quit, butthis isn’t any different in other areas of life 90% ofpeople will quit and not take it to the next level, regardless if it is playing guitar, learning languages, sport, business etc. This MLM company is searchingfor the right people to be a part of the company.People that will share information about theirproducts. It is all about being hungry, being coachableand taking action. If that is you? Let’s talk call me on9093578759 Jackie

By David LeonhardtSix Easy Search Tips to Get the Cream of theCrop An independent recruiter, recruitingagency or executive search firm is charged withtracking down excellent potential candidates foravailable job positions. Despite the fact that thereare innumerable people seeking positions ofemployment in the 21st century, it often seems toa typical recruiting agency that qualified men andwomen are few and far between.

Here are six easy tips that recruiting services, staffing firms, or executive search firms shouldkeep in mind when on the hunt for outstandingpotential job candidates in the 21st century. These tips are equally applicable to companiesundertaking their own search without the help ofrecruiting agency services. Indeed, the headachesassociated with finding qualified personnel ismagnified for a company undertaking its ownrecruitment efforts.1. Post an Ad on an Industryspecific Job

Board. Oftentimes, a recruiter will take ascattershot approach to finding candidates thatare worthy of consideration for an availableposition. They broadcast far and wide the factthat a certain position is open and available, inbig city newspapers and on major Internet jobboards. If a recruiting agency were morethoughtful about its recruitment efforts, it wouldrealize the benefits of positing an announcementof an available position on an industryspecificInternet job board. By posting in a selective andadmittedly limited manner, recruiters andstaffing firms would be reaching out precisely tothe pool of people most likely to be qualified foran open position. One excellent tool for findingindustryspecific job boards can be accessed atthe Online Recruiters Job Board Directory.2. Use Recruiters that Specialize in a Given Field. As with advertising, choosing an effectiverecruiter might be just a matter of targeting, particularly for a managerial or executiveposition. These positions can be very hard for inhouse personnel directors and human resourcemanagers. While these people do haveresponsibility for hiring, the search for a newemployee with skills beyond the norm for theircompany can best be targeted by a professionalexecutive head hunter. The same can be said forspecialized fields, such as accounting orinformation systems. Inhouse human resourcesstaff might know all about pharmaceutical skillsets required for a multitude of research andadministration positions, but they might rarelyhave to deal with hiring staff to track money or tokeep the computers functioning. That's whenrecruiting agency services specializing in IT or inaccounting can come in handy. 3. Develop an InHouse Referral Program. In many instances, exiting staff members can help speed up thesearch for quality job candidates. Employeesoften have contacts elsewhere within theindustry, some of which may be looking for achange of employment.By cultivating this internalresource, a personnel director can develop awealth of ready information about prospective

employees who might well serve the organizationas valued employees.4. Search Resumes Postedon Job Boards. In addition to advertising on anindustry specific job board, a diligent personneldirector or recruiting agency will want to take thetime to search and consider resumes that havebeen posted on job boards. Often, a personpounding the pavement looking for employmentmay not have the time to take in and review all ofthe various available positions that have beenposted on a every job board. This is even moretrue if a given prospect is a highly soughtaftercandidate, who might be still busy in a currentposition of responsibility.5 .Use a Directory ofRecruiters. Because there are so many differenttype of recruiters in business in the 21st centuryit can often be difficult for inhouse humanresources staff to pinpoint the recruiter that willbe best able to meet the needs of a givenemployee recruitment campaign. But there areresources available, such as directories ofrecruiters. One such directory is the OnlineRecruiter Directory.By using a professional directory, inhousehuman resources staff will be able to identify themost appropriate resources for their companyand for the recruiting task at hand. Even staffingfirms can benefit from such a recruiters directoryto seek help in a specialized field they don't oftenwork with.6. Dont Rush the Process. Finally, while it is an overused saying, "Rome wasnt builtin a day." In the same vein, 99 times out of 100there is no need to rush the process of seeking, identifying and hiring a new employeesparticularly an executive level employee.A personnel director should take his or hertime to identify, screen, interview and hire thebest candidate. Throughout this process, ahuman resources manager or specialist will relyon the services and support tools identified inthis article. By using these tips, in the long runthe best possible candidate for a given positionwill end up being hired, and the company willbenefit from the best possible employees.By Lanette Tucker

Cash flow gaps in startup companies andbusinesses are a common predicament. Thismeans that your business has gradually catered toa bigger market. Do not treat cash flow gaps as adiscouraging agent. This signifies growth andpotential for your business. You should not let thegaps stay unsolved. While it is true that cash flowgaps indicate a promising chance for expansion, you have to seek help immediately from financinginstitutions to not let the opportunity pass you by.Banks and lending investors will always be there toloan you with money for as long as you qualifytheir complex standards and tiresome processing. However, small businesses have a very slim chanceof getting a loan from banks and lendingcompanies. When all else fails, do not resort tocommercial loans. They can be very tricky. Interestrates are fearfully high and you could be entangledin a compounded interest without even knowingit! Seek the help of factoring companies instead.Since you need immediate cash to go along withyour immediate decision to grab an expansionopportunity, you need the services and expertise of

factoring companies. They process everythingwithout paperwork! Some of the most respectedand trustworthy factoring companies even havewebsites and hotlines working 24/7 to get in touchwith you and take care of your financial concernsand needs. Factoring companies offer receivablesfinancing to your business to increase its cashflow. Receivables financing is a simple process. This involves a shortterm financing whereby youraccounts receivable serve as collateral for yourworking capital advances. In doing so, factoringcompanies treat receivables as assets with value.Factoring companies, who introduce and manageyour receivables financing account with them, provide cost effective way for you to purchase newor used equipment with little or no outofpocketcost. This is what you need in order to continuewith your expansion and related undertakings.Banks will only tire you with “billions of papers tosign” and long queues when you apply for a loan.Lending investors will take your profit, as they willdemand for you to pay both the money youborrowed and the interest you owe them.Receivables financing increase your cash flow andhelp your business operations run well.

By Maria Elena DuronPinterest is fast becoming one of themost popular social networking sitesin the world. More and more brandsare using it to effectively promote theirproducts or services within the site. Asa small business service brand, wouldit be worthwhile for you to sign up onPinterest? Well, it depends. Somesmall business service brands can behighly successful in promoting theirbrand on Pinterest, but there areothers who may not garner the samesuccess and may be better offpromoting their brand elsewhere. So ifyou’re a brand who’s offering services, not products, should you considersocial marketing on Pinterest or not? Here are some things you should thinkabout: 1. Do your services translatewell visually? There are certain small businessesthat offer services that translate wellvisually. Photographers, for example, can effectively utilize Pinterest’svirtual pinboard by showcasing theirbest photos and shots. Weddingcoordinators can create pinboards ofthe weddings they’ve organized, aswell as other pictures that inspirethem to organize wonderful weddings. These visual displays can help peoplelearn more about your work anddetermine whether your services fittheir requirements.Lawyers, on the other hand, may notbe able to promote their brandeffectively on Pinterest. Sure they cancreate boards of the things they loveand the things that inspire them, but

it’s not going to let people know howeffective they’re going to be in thecourtroom. So if the services you’reoffering translate well visually, thendefinitely consider promoting yourbrand on Pinterest. 2. Is your targetaudience on Pinterest? Majority ofPinterest users are women, so if yoursmall business service brand caters towomen more than men, then youshould definitely consider adding thesite to your marketing mix. Of course, this doesn’t mean that if your servicescater more to men, that you shouldn’tbe on Pinterest. But you may have tothink twice and consider other optionsso you can reach your target audiencebetter. 3. Are you willing to devotetime on the site?Just like other social networkingsites, it’s important to devote time andeffort to your page on the site, so thatyou build a good number of followers. You want to make things interestingfor your audience, so you shouldregularly post, comment and reply topeople, and make sure to follow, shareand like other pinboards as well. Youcan’t build a following if you’re notgoing to update regularly and if youaren’t willing to devote time tointeracting with your audience. Afteryou’ve considered these three things, here are some tips to help you marketyour small business service brand onPinterest: • Too much selfpromotionis a NoNo Too much selfpromotionon Pinterest isn’t going to earn youpoints on it. Remember that it’s stillprimarily a social networking site, soit’s important that you make sure to

share other things in addition to theservices you’re offering. What you cando is create interest in your services bysharing content that’s inspiring andbased on a broader theme. This helpsbuild a community around your brand, and doesn’t hint of over selfpromotion. • Connect your Pinterestwith your other social media accountsTo effectively convert buzz to bucks, you should definitely connect yourPinterest with your website, your blog, and your other social networking sites. This helps promote your page anddrive traffic to your website. You wantto direct people to the place wherethey can become your clients and availof your services.• Be more personalThe best thing about Pinterest is thefact that you can show off who you areand what you love. Personalize yourpage – take the time to update theappearance of your Pinterest page sothat it reflects who you are and whatyour brand is all about. And again, don’t be all about business – lightenup. Show people what inspires you andcreate boards that are funny andinteresting. Social marketing is allabout connecting with your audience, and the best way to connect with themis to show them the personal side ofyou. Your small business service brandcan definitely benefit frommaintaining an account on Pinterest. So don’t be too quick on dismissingthis popular medium. Pinterest is fastbecoming an excellent platform formarketing small businesses.

By Jeanie RoseWhen faced with violence, danger anduncertainty, people of faith and prayer haveturned to Psalm 91 for strength andencouragement. With great stress, the mind cango a bit wacky with fretting, fear, negative selftalk. You've probably noticed! Having a readymade guide for reflection and prayer is essentialat times like this. Without a guide, you usuallyend up endlessly going around the samemountain of anxiety. Psalm 91 makes a perfectmap to get you on through. So if life is a strugglefor you right now, do yourself a favor. Print off acopy of Psalm 91. In fact, print off several copies, each one from a different translation. Go the fullspectrum. Start with the antiquated poetry of theKing James and move to the more contextualinterpretation of the Amplified Bible to theconversational tone of The Message or TheLiving Bible.Once you have your copies, you will use themto power up your prayer life and renew yourmind according to the truth and promises ofGod. Sound good? It's better than good. Whatyou are about to embark on is powerful, lifechanging, faith building. Follow any one or all ofthe following suggestions for putting Psalm 91 towork in your life. All is the better course. But, thebest course is to simply get started, like now!Isn't that always the hardest part? So here it is:Strategy One: At least three times a day slowlyread over the Psalm from more than one

translation. Focus. This is not mindless busywork. This is spiritual nourishment for your soul.Continue with this practice indefinitely, just likeyou continue to eat food on a daily basis tonourish your physical body. Over time you willhave the verses memorized. Naturally sometranslations will resonate more fully with youthan do others. These are the translations youmemorize quickly and without breaking a sweat.A new day will dawn when you hear Psalm 91coming up in your self talk. Rejoice! You nowhave a potent weapon for keeping your thinkingunder control, staying faithfilled, positive, forward moving. Victory is at hand. StrategyTwo:Record your translations of Psalm 91 ontoyour computer or some recording device, thenupload the recording to your ipod, mobile phone,CD or the like. Play the recording at least twice aday where you can give focused attention to thelines of the Psalm. In addition, play Psalm 91 aswhite noise where your subconscious can workwith it. White noise is especially effective atovercoming the negative thinking. So, consideryour white noise playing through the night asyou sleep. This is especially effective if you havetrouble going to sleep or a tendency to wakethrough the night. Many people have found thistechnique useful when suffering the grief of adeath or divorce, or suffering any type ofphysical pain. The encouraging words ofScripture overwrite the pain messages from thecurrent circumstances, at least to a degree.

Strategy Three:Keep a Psalm 91 journal. Twice a day write outone of the translations into your journal. It'simportant that the Psalm be written out by hand.Doing this activity on the computer will notrender the same fine results. There is somethingabout the way your hand and your brain areconnected in this activity that affects your subconscious mind. Over a period of time you willfind that you have memorized Psalm 91 frommore than one translation. Probably you willbegin stringing verses together from varioustranslations as you pray. You will also beginhaving insights into the meaning of the verses. This is gold! Record it in your journal. Eventuallyyou will have a journal full of encouragementthat will stagger your mind. You will realize theenergizing work of the Holy Spirit in theseinsights. This is treasure! Hold it dearly. StrategyFour:This Psalm is filled with spiritual nuggets notobvious without a bit of study. So don't miss out. That would be like sitting on a diamond field andnot picking up a shovel. An extensive study isavailable especially to assist you in accessing thepower of Psalm 91 in prayer. Find the link forthis study below. In conclusion I say remainfaithful to any one or more of these practices andthe sinkhole of fretful thinking will be history, past history. These changecreating tools areavailable. And, believe it or not, they are free.Use them liberally for this lifechangingexperience. Start today!

By Pastor John H. ClarkA forgery is any act or crime of imitating orcounterfeiting documents, signatures, etc. todeceive. In order to understand what is meant by thereligious forgery you must understand thedifference between the old covenant and the NewWill.A covenant is simply an agreement, usuallyformal, between two or more persons to do or notdo something specified. The old covenant was between God and Israel.Exodus19:58 states: "Now therefore, if you willindeed obey My voice and keep My covenant, then you shall be a special treasure to Me aboveall people; for all the earth is Mine. 6 And youshall be to Me a kingdom of priests and a holynation.’ These are the words which you shallspeak to the children of Israel.” 7 So Moses cameand called for the elders of the people, and laidbefore them all these words which the Lordcommanded him. 8 Then all the people answeredtogether and said, “All that the Lord has spokenwe will do.” So Moses brought back the words ofthe people to the Lord. Deuteronomy 4:13 "Andhe declared unto you his covenant, which hecommanded you to perform, even tencommandments; and he wrote them upon twotables of stone." Deuteronomy 5:13 " And Mosescalled all Israel, and said unto them, Hear, OIsrael, the statutes and judgments which I speakin your ears this day, that ye may learn them, andkeep, and do them. 2 The Lord our God made acovenant with us in Horeb. 3 The Lord made notthis covenant with our fathers, but with us, even

us, who are all of us here alive this day. This covenant was sealed by circumcisionGenesis 17:914 (emphasis on verses 10 & 14) "9And God said unto Abraham, Thou shalt keep mycovenant therefore, thou, and thy seed after theein their generations. 10 This is my covenant, which ye shall keep, between me and you and thyseed after thee; Every man child among you shallbe circumcised. 11 And ye shall circumcise theflesh of your foreskin; and it shall be a token ofthe covenant betwixt me and you. 12 And he thatis eight days old shall be circumcised among you, every man child in your generations, he that isborn in the house, or bought with money of anystranger, which is not of thy seed. 13 He that isborn in thy house, and he that is bought with thymoney, must needs be circumcised: and mycovenant shall be in your flesh for an everlastingcovenant. 14 And the uncircumcised man childwhose flesh of his foreskin is not circumcised, that soul shall be cut off from his people; he hathbroken my covenant." A will or testament is alegal declaration by which a person, the testator, names one or more persons to manage his estateand provides for the transfer of his property atdeath. Before we go farther you need to understandthat the books of Matthew, Mark, Luke and Johnare the Gospel. The New Will (New Testament)begins in Acts not Matthew. Hebrews 9:1617"For where a testament is, there must also ofnecessity be the death of the testator (willwriter). For a testament is of force after men aredead: otherwise it is of no strength at all whilethe testator liveth."Jesus took away the first (old testament

through His death) that he might establish thesecond. Hebrews 10:10 By the which will we aresanctified through the offering of the body ofJesus Christ once for all." Matthew 26:28 Forthis is my Blood of the new testament (will)which is shed for many for the remissions(forgiveness) of sin (not sins).Forgiveness means to send sin off or away; butthe primary meaning is to separate the sin fromthe sinner. Remember, sin dwell in the fleshRomans 7:23 "And they that are in Christs' havecrucified the flesh with the affections and lust."Since flesh has been crucified sin has no place tolive. Now that we have accepted Christ as our Savior, and are led by the Spirit of God , we are sons ofGod. Romans 8:14 " 14 For as many as are led bythe Spirit of God, they are the sons of God.”Galatians 4:7 " 7 Wherefore thou art no more aservant, but a son; and if a son, then an heir ofGod through Christ." Romans 8:17 "And ifchildren, then heirs; heirs of God, and jointheirswith Christ; if so be that we suffer with him, thatwe may be also glorified together."Now that I am an heir, what do I inherit?Ephesians 1:1314 "13 In whom ye also trusted, after that ye heard the word of truth, the gospelof your salvation: in whom also after that yebelieved, ye were sealed with that Holy Spirit ofpromise, 14 Which is the earnest of ourinheritance until the redemption of thepurchased possession, unto the praise of hisglory.”The Holy Spirit, which is my inheritance untilredemption. The Holy Spirit is our helper. Hehelps us to operate in the fourth dimension and

receive the benefits of the New WILL, whichbrings us to the RELIGIOUS FORGERY.In his book, Healing the Sick and Casting OutDevils, T.L. Osborn tells us, "Many preachersand teachers have dared to "reword the WILL."Which is nothing less than forgery, since noWILL may be changed after the death of the onewho made it. Before leaving this world, Jesusleft His Father's WILL regarding the sinful andthe sick, by stating, "He that believeth and isbaptized shall be saved." And "They (believers)shall lay hands on the sick and they shallrecover." False preachers, teachers and eldersmay "cheat" you out of the benefits of Calvary bymisinterpreting the "WILL" to you. But friendsREAD THE WILL for yourself. If you are sickand needy, refuse the unscripturalinterpretations of those who come to yourbedside, telling you to suffer on, etc. All heavenstands ready to enforce every covenantright ofyours, when you dare to be BOLD in claimingthem. Satan is a liar, and the father of lies, andhe delights to blind men and women to theircovenantrights, and to their CalvarypurchasedBENEFITS, "Ye shall know the TRUTH, and theTRUTH shall make you FREE" (John 8:32)Again we see that by looking to the Word ofGod we receive a revelation of what God is eagerto do for us, and when we see that God is actuallyeager to set us free by healing us of oursicknesses and diseases, it then becomes easy tohave faith then God WILL do what He said HeWANTS to do FOR US that is revelation faithpower." By Shawn McEvoyJesus said... "If anyone wishes to come after Me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow me." Matthew 16:24 You rememberhow to play SimonSays, don't you? It's probably been a few years. It's thechildren's game where a leader gives verbal commands that are to befollowed if and only if they are preceded by an explicit statement ofpermission bearing the warrant of mighty Simon himself. Non"SimonSays" commands are worthless, and following them only gets you introuble. Aside from being fun (for a few minutes anyway), the game alsohelps kids work on motor skills, coordination, listening skills, manners, and respecting authority. But shhhh... don't tell them that. I'm notconvinced the game's so popular these days, as everyone's more interestedin raising leaders than followers anymore, but I digress.Let's just look closely at the three actions in the verse above, whichbegins not with "Simon Says," but rather "Then Jesus said..." 1) TurnAround ("let him deny himself..."). This is what denying one's self is allabout. Repentance. Seeing things God's way. Going from darkness to light.Playing the fool for God. Even the notion of playing a child's game isapropos here, as we must not use our own adult human knowledge andwisdom to accomplish this step, but instead we die to self and come

willingly in faith like a child. 2) Bend Over, Stand Up ("take up hiscross..."). When you pick up the cross, you have to set down otherburdens, the other things that you tend to think define "you." Taking upyour cross does not equal the burden obeying you, your identity. You areindeed unique, but each day you should take on something new fromChrist that makes you more like Him. 3) Go Forward ("...and follow Me").Following = sacrificial living. It's advancement toward a Kingdom goal. InMatthew 8:1 we find that when Jesus "had come down from the mountain, great multitudes followed Him." He had just finished teaching them; theyhad received instruction from one who had no place to lay his head andwas feeding thousands on mere loaves and fishes. Moving forward in theKingdom can only involve putting others in front of self. Is it really all thatforeign to us? People sacrifice all the time to climb ladders in their careerand for other personal goals. Why not sacrifice without the ladders?Intersecting Faith & Life: Is this verse, are these three instructions, hard, or easy? The answer depends on perspective. Quitting smoking lookseasy to the nonsmoker, but the smoker must take it one minute, one day,one step at a time. Losing weight is a manageable goal for most, but if thefocus is on losing 60 pounds in the first day the dieter is fighting a losingbattle. Make it your goal to Turn Around, Bend Over/Stand Up, and GoForward one day this week and see where playing "Jesus Said" takes you.

By John GoodmanMost student loan companies allow students to pay off theirstudent loans in a variety of ways. While many start on astandard 10 year loan payment plan, others quickly change theirpayment plan because of financial reasons. It often takes morethan 6 months to find a fulltime job after school. This puts manygraduates in a stressful situation because they don't have enoughincome to pay off their loans. In this situation, most graduatesare left to look for a different payment plan for their personalsituation. One type of payment plan offering is a graduated plan. This plan allows graduates the opportunity to pay a lowermonthly payment for the first couple years. As time passes, thegraduate has to pay a small amount more each month. This isdesigned in a way that assumes the student will make moremoney with time, because he or she will be able to get a better jobbecause of a degree. This is just one type of student loanpayments plan that makes it easier for graduates to pay off theirdebt. Many Loan CompaniesThere are a couple of different student loan companies that arefederally operated. This helps to protect students and also allowsmany students not to have to pay their debt off while they're stillin school. Most students try to use the most popular loancompanies so that they feel safe. These are often the companiesthat offer the best interest rates. There are many other companiesthat offer student loans to both students and their parents. Somestudents need so much money for their education, that they'realso forced to take out private loans. This is because based on

federal student loan offerings, he or she may only be eligible forso many loans. Luckily, there are many other companies thathelp students get the money that they need.Unfortunately, manyof these loan companies make students start paying off their loandebt while they're still going to school. This can be extremelyfrustrating for many students, because they have to worry aboutgoing to school while also working a fulltime job. Many studentsworry about paying off their student loan payments whileattending school. Choosing the Best RateAfter researching your options, you will find that many ratesare very standard. This means that most companies will offer avery similar rate. It's still in your best interest to shop a betterinterest rate. This can end up saving you hundreds or eventhousands of dollars in the long run, Once you start makingstudent loan payments, take advantage of moneysavingopportunities. For example, many loan companies allow agraduate to lower his or her interest rate by paying on time for asignificant amount of time. Other companies allow graduates tolower their rate by just allowing their student loan payments toautomatically come out of their checking account. This is a greatoption for many students, because they won't have to worryabout scheduling their payment each month, and they will alsobe able to save a little money each month because of theirlowered interest rate. Don't miss out on moneysavingopportunities. This can allow you to have more money in yourpocket for your other expenses. You may quickly find that youneed to think about investing in an apartment, home, or vehicle.Learning to Handle All Bills

It can be difficult for many graduates to learn how to balanceall of their financial responsibilities. A lot of students do not workwhile they attend college, so they're not used to making regularmonthly payments on bills. As soon as a student graduates, he orshe is left to not only find a job, but deal with many new financialresponsibilities. It's important that a graduate considers theirstudent loan payments before agreeing to other financialopportunities. If a student is not careful, he or she may sign anapartment lease that is too costly. This can make it almostimpossible to pay utility bills and rent along with student loanpayments. This is why it's beneficial for students to work a parttime job during school. Not only does this allow them to havesome extra spending money, but it can teach students how tobetter handle their finances. If a student is smart enough, he orshe will also learn to save a little bit of cash each month. Thismoney could help a student out a lot after graduation. Manystudents are unable to save because they don't see the importanceof it. If a student does save money while in school, it can allowthe student to live a little more comfortably right aftergraduation. It's important for students and their parents to doproper research before taking out any student loans. This willallow them to find the best loan possible. It will also ensure thatthe student and his or her parents also understand all aspects ofthe loan's terms. If there is not a full understanding, there can bemany hidden costs which can end up costing the student a lot ofmoney in the future. Take the time to carefully consider allstudent loan options. You will find that it's possible to find a loanthat fits your needs and has an affordable payment plan.

By Seth MoltonWhat is an ideal long term care facility? Variousanswers cropped up from the aged who, after all, make up a big percentage of the recipients of caringservices in the USA and elsewhere for that matter. Most men and women in their retirement years stillprefer to be cared for by their children right in thecomforts of their homes. However true, there aresome individuals accustomed to their independenceand would rather be under the care of nursinginstitutions or retirement communities. Living withyour children and opting for the services of a nursinghome or an assisted living facility have its advantages, but you shouldn’t discount the fact that each also hasits downside. For instance, home care will ensure you’re welltaken care of because your kids or other relatives willbe present 24/7 to assist you in all areas of activitiesof daily living (ADL),such as eating, bathing, using thetoilet, dressing up, and performing house choresamong others. Unfortunately, you cannot count onthem to administer medications especially if you havea serious health condition because they are nottrained professionally on the medical or nursing field. Those who can afford to pay a professional wouldprefer home health care and, thus, hire a licensednurse or medical practitioner to look after them, andattend to their medical needs. However helpful this isto a patient, studies done on long term care show thatthe government will not shoulder the expenses ofcaring services performed in one’s home except if thereason behind it is medical. Meanwhile, patients withlow to no income are an exception in the eyes of thegovernment. So even if the reason for their home careis nonmedical, the government will definitely considerpaying the home care services that were provided tothem. Cost of Long Term CareYour budget for long term care will depend on yourchoice or type of long term care facility. If you will optfor home care or home health care, you will not spendas much as you would in a nursing home or assistedliving facilities. Besides your budget, however, yourhealth condition is also an important factor toconsider when choosing a caring facility. At home, your medical equipment is probably limited to thebasic such as a sphygmomanometer, thermometer, weighing scale, and perhaps a nebulizer.Unfortunately, these are not enough to address veryserious conditions like heart diseases, cancer, respiratory problems, and many others that requirecomplete medical facilities. Apart from the fact thatlicensed nurses and therapists are employed bynursing homes and assisted living quarters, theseplaces are equipped with the necessary medicalfacilities to constantly monitor the progress ordeterioration of your health condition. In 2010, it wasrecorded that a nursing home in America roughly cost$200 a day. That made an annual cost of $73,000,which a retiree had to fork over from his savingsaccount. Investing in a pension plan could have savedhim a chunk of his hard earned money.

By Mona JohnsonCEO Of Personal BestThe majority of adults in the United States are over the age offifty. Therefore, many of you are finding that you are attendingmemorial and funeral services more often. A memorial servicelike a funeral is a process for loved ones to reflect on the worthand the experiences had by and with a loved one. It allows theliving to show their final respect of love and appreciation for theperson who has died. In harmony with community standards andreligious affiliations a memorial service can diverge in itsprocedures. A memorial service is a service where the body is notpresent. There are many reasons that a memorial service ischosen instead of a funeral but often it is at the request of thedeceased.Memorial services as well as a funeral can be held at the church, mortuary, or grave side. In either case the same respect and

decorum should be maintained. Once distant family membersand friends have been initially notified of the death of a loved oneit is then the responsibility of the distant family members andfriends to stay in contact with the family contact person. Therefore, upon notification of a death of a loved one ask who willhave the funeral information and ask how you can contact them.It is also the distant family members’ responsibility to getthemselves to the services. In other words do not assume you areto be taken care of by the immediate family, nor should you waitfor a call from the immediate family. You should call theimmediately family to ascertain funeral service information onyour own. There is no excuse, especially for a family member or closefriends, not to be on time for a funeral or memorial service if theyplan to attend. Passive aggressive waiting by distant family orfriends for the immediate family to return a call to you is uncalledfor and unacceptable. Distant family members and friends should

be calling the immediate family contact person. The age oldexcuse of “They didn’t call and tell me anything,” is not only tritebut it is also selfcentered. Families in bereavement should not beburdened with such egotistical nonsense.Black is no longer the required color for a funeral. However, your dress should still be appropriate and this usually meansconservative. In some instances a funeral may represent thepersonal life style of the deceased person. This is an excellentreason to stay in contact with the family so you will be able tofollow their dress suggestions. Understanding etiquette andtrusting etiquette in a time of bereavement can serve assustenance and hopefully a support while easing the emotionaldisquiet after loss of a loved one. By Christie AcevedoCharity A word meaning, benevolent goodwilltoward or love of humanity.Benevolent A word meaning, serving a charitablerather than a profitmaking purpose. You may wonder why this story started off with acouple of definitions, this was not an ordinary way tostart a story but these are two of the words that cometo mind when describing many of the not veryordinary works of a not for profit High Desert groupcalled Swapping Mamas. Unfortunately the wordcharity is many times a word that is used lightly, butcharity is something that means everything to somany struggling Inland Empire families during thesedifficult economic times. It seems as thoughorganization also can be defined much moremeaningfully when we look at Swapping Mamas, agroup who brings items needed all to one place inorder to get them to the people who need them themost. We all are starting to feel the break from thesummer heat, the little chill in the night air. This iswelcomed by most but to some it is a scary thought, along with it comes the stress of affordably keepingtheir family warm through the cold months, there isalso the fear of providing things that may not be needsbut little things that make families feel more normal, and less “low income” during the holiday season.Swapping Mamas is quickly planning for theupcoming cold winter season as well as the holidayseason. Swapping Mamas serves the high desertcommunity and beyond. They say if you are willing todrive to any of their events you are welcome toparticipate. Swapping Mamas was founded byAdelanto resident Lisa Anderson, a high desertmarried mother of five and ran solely on the efforts ofher and her volunteers. “Sometimes myself and thevolunteers work several hours a day, several days aweek to get things in order for our events. We lovewhat we do, we love seeing the smiling faces of thepeople that we are able to help and love knowing wetook a little bit of stress off of a family in need”, saidLisa. “We could not do the things that we are able todo without the team effort and the items provided byour great community”, she added. The items that Swapping Mamas helps to provideto the community are items that people in thecommunity no longer need that can help someone elsein need of the items. “It is nice to know that the

things my family no longer needs get to anotherfamily or families in need of them”, said Jamie Eskeya volunteer. “Sometimes It is a bit overwhelming withthe upcoming cold months and the holidays coming. So many people come in need and the help we couldoffer depends on the contributions of ourcommunity.” said founder, Lisa Anderson. SwappingMamas does most of their work through events heldat the Adelanto Community center and does most oftheir communication and announcements on theirwebsite and through their Facebook presence.Swapping Mamas is able to collect the items neededfor the group through drop offs at one of their sevenhigh desert drop off locations and through severalmonthly pick ups. During the holidays and for specialevents there are also collection boxes at the AdelantoCity Hall and several other High Desert Business likeKristy’s Bar in Apple Valley, Bear Valley PetGrooming as well as a few other business locations.“Without Swapping Mamas I do not know how wecould provide the basics like clothes and shoes for ourfamily. They do not only offer clothing for the kids, they take it steps farther with helping the adults too. Iam also grateful for their other events to help us withthings like backpacks and Christmas gifts for ourchildren” said a member who asked to remainanonymous.During the holiday season Swapping Mamas has atremendous need for blankets, warmer clothing, jackets, shoes/boots in all sizes, socks, warm hats, knit scarves, rain/snow boots, Thanksgiving foods,Christmas decor, wrapping paper, toys and teenitems, which are all items that Swapping Mamasassists residents in need with. “I worry, probably toomuch” volunteer Christie Martin says with a nervouslaugh. “I worry about not having enough to assistthese families that come to us in need of aThanksgiving Basket. I also worry that people in ourcommunity will be cold if we do not get enoughblankets together for our members or that childrenthat parents depend on our assistance for the holidayswill not all get the toy or teen item for their parents towrap and put under the tree for them”, addedChristie. Lisa as well as several of her volunteers workdiligently to rally help from the community to get theitems needed and according to the many happy swapgoers we had the pleasure to talk with they do awonderful job getting what is needed in. “Sometimeswe need to remember to focus more on the good weare able to do, focus on the families we have been and

are continuing to help because there is just no way, asmuch as we would like to, that we can help everysingle person in need of help” said volunteer RaquelGregory.Swapping Mamas can use some more help, helpfrom people and/or Inland Empire business’ who areable to help with any of the following including:gently used blankets or comforters, ThanksgivingFood items for the Thanksgiving Baskets, Christmastrees or decorations for families in need, wrappingpaper, tape and/or new or gently used toys or otheritems that would make a nice gift for any child fromnewborn to teen. They also accept clothing, shoes, baby items (formula, diapers, wipes etc), personalcare items, kitchen trash bags, and storage totes yeararound for their clothing events. The statement thatsums most of this need up came from Lisa Andersonwhen she said, “We have so much support but can usemore from the community and our local business’, wehave the City of Adelanto who gives us use of theCommunity Center and helps in so many ways. Wehave Ballpark Storage in Adelanto, they give us a greatdiscount for the storage needs of our group, we alsohave the wonderful help of those willing to putcollection boxes out for us. We could always use more

help, myself and my volunteers are all ironically lowincome families ourselves, it is sometimes frustratingbecause as much as we would like to, as much as wewant to desire to see something happen, we can notalways afford what we need to make certain thingshappen”.The desire, passion and drive to make thingshappen, and to help the community was noticed, actually, not only noticed but felt very strongly whenspeaking with volunteers. “Communities need tounite during these hard times, if everyone helps whenthey can and how they can we can all make it throughthis recession together. I love Swapping Mamas, Ihave volunteered since Lisa started the swaps in hergarage back in 2010. I love meeting new membersand the whole thing just makes my heart feel good, itmakes me feel complete to do what I love with peopleI love.” said long time volunteer Denise Dale. Wehope these works of Swapping Mamas can encourageothers to serve their community and will encouragemany to give with an open heart. To get more information on Swapping Mamas seewww.SwappingMamas.com or to contact someonewho can answer your questions use the websitecontact form.
