Does your bra really fit? We have been professionally fitting ladies at Barbara's New Beginnings for undergarments for over a dozen years. Our Certified Professional Fitters listen to your needs and recommend options based on your body frame and style preferences. This bra-shopping experience is fun and fabulous- much like shopping with a sister or friend who really knows her stuff!

In our private fittings, your own professional bra fitter will show you

how (upon adjusting and fitting the correct style and size of bra) the bra will redistribute the weight and ease the pressure on your shoulders.

The bra will be anchored so it is positioned down in the back, up in the front (directly underneath the root of the breast.) When the bra fits you, it will take up to 90% of the weight off your shoulders. As our customers can attest, a new fitted bra always make one look better - it can give the appearance of taking 2 inches off your midriff instantly!

Our fitters meet a lot of women who previously felt there weren't pretty or sexy lingerie options for them based on their size. The Indianapolis and Fort Wayne stores each carry a selection of over 10,000 bras, ranging from AAA-N cup and a 28” to 56” band size. Wearing a beautiful matching bra and panty set can make your day more special from the start! Our gorgeous boutiques stock pretty & sexy bras from AA-K cup and panties from XS to 5X-- perfect for any occasion.

At Barbara's New Beginnings, we encourage women to invest in a bra that really fits to fully realize the comfort, support, and benefits of this item you put on every day. Let the right fit work for you and improve your life- it can be a very uplifting experience! As CoCo Chanel once said, “Luxury must be comfortable otherwise it is not luxury.”

What is the HCG Diet?HCG is a weight loss program that allows your body to release the abnormal fat stores (abdomen, hips, thighs, buttocks, face and arms) of about 2,000 calories per day into your bloodstream allowing you to follow a very low calorie diet (VLCD). It reshapes the body contour especially the abdomen, buttocks and hips.

How much weight will I lose with the HCG Diet?On average patients lose about a pound a day when compliant with the program. Normally a VLCD would be impossible, but the HCG suppresses the appetite.

How will the HCG diet protocol help me maintain my weight? The HCG diet protocol addresses the root cause of being overweight - Abnormal Fat stores. It will “reset” the metabolism so that once the weight loss goal is achieved and a healthy, low calorie diet and exercise are resumed, the weight can be maintained.

I’ve heard there are cheaper oral HCG programs? There are many copycat formulas being sold over the Internet claiming they work as well. We use the only medical-grade, patented HCG product

available on the market. It is double-tested to ensure strength and quality and can only be prescribed by a physician. Some products may contain undisclosed additives and may not be manufactured in a sterile laboratory.

Why should I choose this HCG diet over other weight loss programs? The HCG diet will “jump start” your weight loss so that you lose weight rapidly and see immediate results. Less expensive “per pound lost” than other weight loss programs. It can be a life-changing event to get you on the track to the NEW HEALTHIER YOU!!

Just in case you missed the recent news coverage about the harmful ingredients used in many products today, I wanted you to have the information.

Katie Thomas reported in the New York Times on August 12, 2012, “Johnson & Johnson, which makes a range of personal care products like baby shampoo, acne cream and antiwrinkle lotion, announced plans Wednesday to remove a host of potentially harmful chemicals, like formaldehyde, from its line of consumer products by the end of 2015, becoming the first major consumer products company to make such a widespread commitment.”

“The company had already pledged to remove certain chemicals from its baby products by 2013, but the latest announcement extended the program to its adult products, including well-known drugstore brands like Neutrogena, Aveeno and Clean & Clear.”

“In 2009, the Campaign for Safe Cosmetics, a coalition that includes the Environmental Working Group, analyzed the contents of dozens of products for children and found that many items contained two substances of particular concern: formaldehyde and 1,4 dioxane. Consumers won’t find either listed on the back of their shampoos or lotions because neither is technically an ingredient.”

“Formaldehyde, which last year was identified by government scientists as a carcinogen, is released over time by common preservatives like quaternium-15 and DMDM hydantoin, which do appear on labels. And 1,4 dioxane, which has been linked to cancer in animal studies …”

“Ms. Nettesheim” (vice president for product stewardship and toxicology for Johnson & Johnson’s consumer health brands) “said the project was a major undertaking and would require extensive spending on research and development to find suitable alternatives to the ingredients, most of which are common in the industry.”

This is just one of the many reasons I am passionate about what I do. We have been telling people for years about these harsh ingredients and that there are safer alternatives available. I am a customer of and market for a consumable products manufacturer who has never put these harsh ingredients in their products. And they aren’t a new company. They have been in business for 27 years. It is not a trend for them or a forced response to a government agency... it wasn’t a “major undertaking”. From day one they made the commitment to manufacture better, safer, healthier, smarter, cleaner and greener products. I don’t sell products, however if you would like more information on how you too can shop direct from a manufacturer who has chosen principles over profits, give me a call today…Karen at 317-828-3061 or 888-802-4321.

Really?! They have until the years 2013 and 2015? Why take the risk?

Women are born to network! Networking in its purest form is simply talking to people, making connections and developing rapport to grow our circle of influence. Business networking is essentially the same except that our primary objective in business networking is to help us grow our businesses. For most of us, building a network means meeting people we can do business with or who will do business with us, or refer people who will do business with us, are our ultimate goals. I believe getting involved in networking groups, like Business Women Connect, can be a great resource to facilitate this process!

Networking is not only for finding jobs or clients. In an economy dominated by ideas and innovation, networking creates the channels through which ideas flow and in which new ideas are created. A large network, carefully cultivated, ties one into not just a body of people but a body of relationships, and those relationships are more than just the sum of their parts. The interactions those relationships make possible give rise to innovation and creativity - and provide the support to nurture new ideas until they can be realized.

Charles “Tremendous” Jones has said that five years from now your life will be exactly the same except for two things: 1) the books you have read, and 2) the people you have met. Networking is your key to making really interesting, helpful, and powerful contacts.

If you are looking to expand your circle of influence, it is a good idea to develop a plan and a list of people you want to add to your network. Then become an active participant and attend seminars and events where you will have the opportunity to meet those people. A secret to good networking is do what you love to do or would love to learn. If you enjoy sports, for example, join a group that gets together to watch football.

You will have fun and meet people with similar interests. Love to give back? Join a group that has a cause to help the community. You will easily connect with like-minded people.

When you do get into a conversation, it is wise to keep focus on the other person rather than on yourself. Become a good listener and always smile. Also, learning to remember and properly pronounce the names of people you meet is not just good manners it is a good business and networking skill.

Women are natural connectors and networking is all about giving. Networking communities create a culture of giving, sharing and being other’s focused. I encourage you to engage in networking activities in your market as you enthusiastically embrace your dreams and impact the lives of other business women in your community.

So as you look to acquire more clients and customers, market and promote who you are and what you have to offer, networking will give you access to important resources, influential business leaders, game-changing ideas and unique opportunities. Most importantly, you can make a difference in your community and make new friends along the way! I look forward to seeing you soon!

The HCG Story...The story of HCG began in the Fifties when, after having done research on weight loss for 40 years and research on HCG specifically for twenty years, Dr. Simeons reported that patients taking small amounts of HCG, in conjunction with a very low calorie diet, could lose weight safely and quickly, without exercise, hunger, irritability, muscle injury or weakness.

But all HCG is not created equal. Unfortunately, there has been a lot of confusion created by products being sold without guidance that call themselves “HCG” but do not contain any in their ingredient list. HCG is one of 67 hormones naturally produced in the human body, so if a product states that it is hormone free; it is not HCG. Dr. Simeons’ diet protocol ought not to be followed without real HCG. The Pounds and Inches Away program starts with pharmaceutical HCG.

HCG (Human Chorionic Gonadotropin) is not a growth or sex hormone; it does not feminize men or masculinize women. It is not an appetite suppressant, stimulant or vitamin supplement. Nor does HCG produce weight loss by itself. However, in concert with a very specific balanced diet, and our help in avoiding unexpected environmental or behavioral deviations, HCG will allow the body to naturally pull the nutrients and calories needed from stored fat reserves into the blood stream at the rate of 1500 to 4000 calories per day.

We are sure that those who follow our protocol WILL lose 20-30 pounds in 40 days. These fantastic results ARE typical with our full service packages. The Pounds and Inches Away program is not your run of the mill “eat less and exercise more” diet for a slow loss of 1 to 2 pounds a week that seems to take the rest of your life. Our protocol tricks Mother Nature a little, maybe, however only natural processes are at work. Per Dr. Simeons, it is safe and so very effective.

Today an increasing number of dieters, many of whom had given up hope in their journey to lose weight, are turning to the Pounds and Inches Away Program to permanently lose unwanted weight. We are expert consultants, here to guide your weight loss experience from beginning to thin!

At Pounds and Inches Away, we are also excited to be able to offer Whole Body Vibration technology by Advanced Healthworks to help people reach their goals. Ten minutes on our “Jiggy” machine produces benefits comparable to those gained in a one-hour workout without the sweat and effort of traditional exercise. More than 700 medical studies have been published about the health benefits of Whole Body Vibration. These benefits include improved circulation, increased muscle strength and flexibility, better core conditioning, improved range of motion, enhanced metabolism, increased bone density, and more. The Whole Body Vibration technology has also been used to improve problems with osteoporosis, diabetic neuropathy, fibromyalgia, incontinence, arthritis, Parkinson’s’ disease and other conditions. We encourage the use of these machines for their wonderful skin tightening effects.

We are excited to announce the opening of our Pounds and Inches Away Weight Loss Salon in Indianapolis near Castleton Square Mall. We are new to this area and are offering the products and support needed for success on the revolutionary HCG diet protocol developed by Dr. A.T.W. Simeons.

To get slim and stay that way, call our office at (317) 849-THIN today. We will help you reach your weight loss goals and improve your health, appearance and self-image. Nothing tastes as good as THIN feels…

Exercise and fitness have been a driving passion in my life since I was a teenager. Over the last 17 years, I have studied and practiced health and fitness. I love helping people reach their goals, gain self confidence, and develop a healthy lifestyle. One of the biggest mistakes I see people making in the gym is failing to have a plan before they come. As a result, their workouts become monotonous and ineffective. With this in mind, there are many reasons to hire a trainer. Here are my top three:

1. Motivation - people lose motivation when they are on their own. A trainer can provide accountability, structure, and friendship to assist you in reaching your goals. 2. Efficiency - a trainer will keep you focused on results without wasted, ineffectual workouts. A trainer will push you harder than you can push yourself.

3. Weight-loss - this is the #1 reason people hire a trainer. A structured diet and exercise program is tough to follow on your own. A trainer will keep you accountable and help you maintain your commitment.

I incorporate many tools that offer variety to a work-out and that provide an efficient yet challenging fitness routine. Clients experience a varied yet strategic fitness program through the use of kettle bells, TRX, rowing machine, boxing, Plyometrics, medicine balls, weights, interval training and more to keep the workouts exciting and effective. Let’s work together to establish your goals and focus attention on creating your fitness work-out plan. Call me today to schedule a complimentary consultation and 50% off your first session.

So many of my clients come in and want to change their situation and are frustrated because they can't get the other person to change. My job is to remind them that when we change our behavior and thinking it affects the perspective of what we are looking at.

Whenever it seems like you are engaged in a situation that has little opportunity to change it, I would challenge you to know that the greatest gift that you can give the situation is to give it your positive energy. I always tell my clients that they have a vibrational energy that can alter a situation although not necessarily in the way that they would like to see the outcome.

Let's say that you are in a nasty marriage and you see no end in sight. If you can create a mental attitude that says "I won't give him the power to make me feel bad about myself" it will help you to stay centered and focused. You will be able to see your options a bit more clearly which will affect the outcome even if it doesn't create the loving relationship that you deserve. When that person is nasty, it will be like you are sprayed with Teflon and his barbs won't get to you in the same way.

I have a client who has a son who is using drugs and alcohol. Although he was in recovery, he has slipped back into active use. She is paralyzed with fear because he almost died the last time he went on a binge and she has a sister who died from a drug overdose so she knows firsthand how deadly drug addiction can be. I am very sensitive to her plight but I encouraged this spiritual woman to change her thinking and connect with her "God energy." We both know that

she can not necessarily change his choices but I asked her "How would you feel if you believed that he needs to go down this course to get to where he needs to be next?" She said, "I am afraid he will die." I said "What if that is what needs to happen to end his misery?" I reminded her that if she connected to that belief or faith that things were going to be okay, she would have a different energy about her that would make her feel better and would convey more positivity to her son. She had the power to give that energy to him. And ultimately her suffering does not do anything positive for her! It just keeps her in a state of worry and anxiety which chips away at her quality of life. It has taken her a lot of practice to remove the negative thoughts but she has been taught the Serenity Prayer and she visualizes giving her worries up to God. Every time she has a negative thought she is to ask herself the question that Byron Katie coined which is "Who would I be without this thought?" Of course the answer is "I would be happier and less anxious and more focused and more productive." This sentence helps her to regain her power and if she changes her thoughts, she really can change her life!

What situation is occurring in your life that you need to change?
