Other attractions: All-natural Oregon meats , BBQ salads, Laurelwood beers on tap, and wine. Sandwiches from $6, entrées $9-$11. Unique flavors and style: Meat prepared with a state-of-the-art smoking machine. An ever-growing collection of stuffed and ceramic pigs, many donated by customers, flavor the atmosphere. Fun Fact: Diane’s mom rewarded Diane and her 8 siblings with pulled pork sandwiches during summer vacations in Virginia Beach. Tasty research: Before they opened, Diane and Sharon took a 16- day BBQ tour that included Alabama, Memphis, Kansas City and North Carolina.“Each town has a different barbeque style”, Sharon says. As a result of this R&D, they serve three different BBQ sauces: Tomato-based (traditional), mustard-based, and vinegar-based. Giving back: Russell Street Bar-B-Que has donated money to KBOO, SCRAP and Portland Community Media, and is committed to continuing to support the community.
