Beavers Nov 18 1933 Oct 31 2015 Dora Adeline Williams Bea- vers, 81, resident of Oriental, NC, formerly of Seven Springs, died Saturday, October 31, 2015, at her home in Oriental, surrounded by her family. She was daughter of the late Jesse Paul and Emma Edwards Williams of Seven Springs, and was preceded in death by three sisters, Sallie W. Hardy of Mount Olive, Johnnie W. Summerlin of Seven Springs, and Olive W. Jones of Seven Springs; two brothers, James “Buck” Williams and Grover Ray Williams, both of Seven Springs; and a son-in-law, Dan Sasser of Goldsboro. Dora loved gardening, can- ning, freezing, and cooking for her family and friends. She enjoyed traveling with her friends, sewing and camping, but most of all she LOVED her family and friends. Survivors include daugh- ter, Terri B. Sasser of Golds- boro, son, Thomas Beavers of Seven Springs, and daughter, Renee` Beavers, of Oriental, with whom she shared her home; granddaughter, Melissa Hoskins and husband, Robert, of Pikeville; granddaughter, Shanna Gurley and husband, Steve, of Trenton; and grand- sons, William Beavers and James Beavers, both of Ra- leigh. She is also survived by three great-granddaughters; two great-grandsons; and four great-great-grandchildren; along with a sister, Esther W. Hardy of Norfolk, Va., a broth- er, Donald Williams and wife, Mary, of La Grange; and nu- merous nieces and nephews. Dora was a member of Rones Chapel United Meth- odist Church of near Mount Olive, and its United Method- ist Women. After relocating to Pamlico County some eight years ago, she attended Pam- lico United Methodist Church and Stonewall United Method- ist Church. She was a retired member of the Seven Springs Area Rescue Squad Auxiliary, was retired from Wayne Coun- ty Public Schools, having been employed at the old Seven Springs School in the cafeteria, and retiring as manager of the cafeteria at Spring Creek El- ementary School. She worked at Carolina Tobacco Ware- house in Goldsboro as a cook for four years, and served as a volunteer at Pamlico Hospice Thrift Store and was a member of the Pamlico Seniors Club. The life of Mrs. Dora Bea- vers was remembered in a ser- vice at Tyndall Funeral Home in Mount Olive on Tuesday night, November 3, at 7 p.m. with the Rev. Mike Roach of Oriental, the Rev. Derick Davis of Washington, and Dr. Paul Hardy of Norfolk, officiating. Visitation followed the service. Committal services and inter- ment were in Pineview Cem- etery at Seven Springs at 11 a.m. Wednesday, November 4, with the Rev. Derick Davis and Dr. Paul Hardy officiating.
