    Hydraulic Rod Pumping Systems

NOV Mono Rod Pumping Systems are high performance producon systems that are ideal for many oil and gasapplicaons. These systems use patented technologies that will opmize your oileld producon, reduce produconcosts and allow you to maximize the protability of each well. They also oer many advantages over tradional

pumping units and have successfully replaced many in the oileld. These advantages include lower set up cost andquick installaon, quick and easy adjustments to stroke length and stroke speed, as well as, reduced environmentalimpact with its low prole and small footprint.

Our complete hydraulic rod pump system includes surface level hydraulic pumping mast which mounts directly to thewellhead, an EPA cered power skid (natural gas or electric), downhole sucker rod components, and self-opmizingcontroller.

These systems are quickly and easily installed to maximize producon upme:

    ROD PUMP SYSTEMS

    Hydraulic Pump Controller (HPC)

The NOV Mono Hydraulic Pump Controller provides economical pump-o control of hydraulic sucker-rod pumping systems. Using sophiscatedmodeling and control soware and a powerful processor, the HPC computessurface and downhole condions to best regulate the starng, stopping,or speed adjustment of the pumping unit. Comprehensive monitoring andreporng capabilies provide daily gauging, fault and event logging, a user-congurable data sampler, and more. HPC units are rugged and have beendesigned to withstand the harsh environments of the oil patch.

    Full Color Touch Screen Display

The user-friendly, color, touch-screen display makes the HPC the rstcontroller to use a touch screen interface. The soware is Windows CEbased and allows for all changes to be made by simply touching your ngerto the screen.

Stroke speed and length, as well as acceleraon and deceleraon of the

hydraulic ram can all be changed from the main screen. The data for bridalblock load, strokes per minute, and mast posion is also shown on the mainscreen. All well characteriscs are displayed in real-me and can be changedvia the touch-screen while the rod pumping system is in operaon. Thistranslates to easier control and less producon downme. HPC’s interfacewas designed to be very easy to navigate from page to page. Every screenhas the following 2 buons on the boom for easy access, no maer whatpage you are on: “Main” to easily navigate back to the home screen, and“System Conguraon” which allows the user to customize mast loadconguraon, posion sensor conguraon, manual control, and medpump o controller.

    Automac Opmizaon

Throughout the life of every well, there are factors that can prevent reachingopmal producon levels. By reducing the negave eects of these factors, the producon rate for each well can be opmized without losing eciencyand reliability. The HPC has the capability to automacally detect thesefactors and instantaneously adjust the operaon of the pumping unit tomaximize system performance.

    Maximum Pump Fill

By controlling the speed of the system, the HPC will automacally adjuststroke speed to produce the maximum amount of uid from the reservoirand keep the system operaonal instead of shung down due to low inow downhole. This feature combined with theHydraulic Rod Pump surface equipment results in a full system that automacally adapts to various inow condions and

prevents wear on the downhole equipment by reducing the number of cycles required to pump equal amounts of uid.

    ROD PUMP SYSTEMS

    Downhole Rod Pumps

NOV Mono oers a full line of API 11AX Standard Rod Pumps and Components that can be tailored to t thespecic characteriscs of your well. Our rod pumps are available in many dierent lengths, diameters andmaterials to t your well’s condions.

There are two basic types of Subsurface Pumps, the Tubing Pump and the Insert Pump. The Tubing PumpBarrel is threaded directly onto the boom of the producon tubing, and is installed near the boom of thewell immersed in the oil within the well casing. The plunger is run into the tubing on the sucker rod string.Generally a standing valve puller is run between the boom of the plunger as well as the separate standingvalve. This makes the removal of the standing valve oponal when pulling the sucker rods and plunger. Theplunger, traveling valve, and standing valve can be serviced simply by pulling the rods, but it requires removalof the tubing to service the pump barrel.

An Insert Pump is run into the well on the rods as a complete unit. A seang assembly on the pump engagesa seang nipple on the tubing when the pump is run in, or installed. Aer the well has pumped up, theaddional pressure of oil in the tubing combined with the ow line pressure holds the pump rmly in place. The enre Rod Pump is removable, and therefore may be serviced merely by pulling the sucker rod string.
