With a 5 million pound refurbishment in progress The Nottingham Gateway Hotel is creating a new 4‑star venue that will raise the bench mark for the city – a unique product that Nottingham has yet to experience.

The transformation with the luxurious standard and boutique finishes in all areas will be exquisite - We look forward to showcasing our new product in Spring 2014.

The hotel’s design is based on a fusion of city glamour and rustic charm; with the fortune of location in beautiful natural surroundings our guests have the benefit of a city location within a tranquil setting.

Lobby / Reception At the heart of the hotel this area has been designed with a Victorian summer house in mind. With enriched finishes and fabrics creating a sumptuous space for relaxation there will be an array of different seating areas framed with carved Victorian style screens to the front of the building sufficiently opened to allow rays of sun light, but sufficiently closed to provide dappled shade when desired.A double sided fire place awaits your arrival, and a small intimate business centre for residents is tucked away discreetly to one side, high speed internet access will be available throughout the hotel to collect those all important emails when away from office or home.

Blossoms Restaurant Our new and contemporary restaurant located in the heart of the building with the offering of both a set and à la carte menu. Designs include an abundance of natural woods, marble and foliage – a bright and fresh environment by day that looks out onto the water and transforms at night to a warm and cosy setting, ideal to unwind and reflect on the day’s events or that special occasion dinner when you want to treat family and friends.

Bubbles Bar & Mocha Lounge Meander through from reception and you will find yourself dazzled with bubbles. With individual seating areas take your pick, sit quietly and watch the television in your seating zone or take a larger area to meet friends or have an informal meeting. The choice is yours.Bubbles Bar by night will take on a dramatically different look and feel, a destination for hotel residents and corporate clients wishing to relax and entertain guests away from the hustle and bustle of the day’s events.

The Fitness Centre A newly constructed fitness centre for use by hotel residents, our guests will be able to work out as they overlook the hotel gardens. The fitness centre will be complimentary to guests and open 7 days a week. The fitness centre will have a range of exercise equipment to include cardio equipment, strength machines, benches and racks, flexibility trainer, and core and balance equipment.

Hotel Bedrooms All 105 ensuite bedrooms will be refurbished to a 4-star boutique finish, with a variety of queen, king, junior suites incorporating wet rooms for disabled guests, and executive king suites. All bedrooms will have a chic and contemporary look, finished to a high specification, with quality furnishings, attracting corporate clients who require a comfortable yet sophisticated hotel to retire to while working away on business. All 105 guest rooms include luxurious bath amenities, in-room safes, 32-inch flat-screen HDTV’s, iron & ironing board, tea and coffee making facilities, hair dryer, generous work surfaces, plush and comfortable bedding and high-speed internet access. Phase one of bedrooms will be available from September 2013.

Garden Suite & Terrace Suite Our conference & meeting rooms will be renovated to create a premium product. The newly created Garden Suite will be situated next to the Terrace Suite, overlooking the moat at the front of the hotel and the newly landscaped Victorian gardens and patio areas at the rear. In addition there will be a wedding pavilion which overlooks the lawns, trees and flower beds creating a romantic and picturesque backdrop for the perfect wedding day. The Terrace Suite will be refurbished with a new teak timber ceiling and a new entrance on to the open paved area leading into the Victorian gardens creating an outdoor space much sought after by conference organisers.

The Orchard Suite The Orchard Suite, the hotel’s largest suite, has integral insulated panels to transform the space into five separate areas. The Suite will be bright and elegant with rich graphic patterns and wood textures. This premier facility will be suitable for large conferences coming to the city of Nottingham catering for up to 250 delegates. The Orchard Suite benefits from natural daylight, climate control and high speed internet access. With its flexible meeting space by day, The Orchard Suite offers excellent options for all types of meetings, seminars and presentations.By evening the Suite can be transformed to host receptions, black tie dinners, award presentations, and charity fundraisers. With its own private bar The Orchard Suite can be hired exclusively. The Acorn Rooms The Acorn Rooms have an elegant boardroom layout perfect for smaller meetings where one-to-one interaction is essential. With confidential surroundings you will be able to ensure you get maximum effectiveness from your event. Situated on the first and second floors, the Acorn Rooms benefit from natural daylight and high speed internet access. 7

Booking Details

DEPOSITS:Once you have decided which Christmas event you would like to attend, please telephone our Christmas Co-ordinator to check availability.

Places can be booked provisionally by telephone but must be confirmed within 7 days with a non-refundable deposit to confirm the number of places required. Bookings will automatically be released after 7 days.

If numbers in the party are reduced, those deposits cannot be used against the balance of payment for the party. Deposits are non refundable and non transferable.

FINAL PAYMENT - please check the event that you have booked for the final payment due date.

Payments must be made by cash, credit card or one cheque (multiple cheques are not acceptable) made payable to The Nottingham Gateway Hotel Limited. (Cheques require 21 days to clear). Party organiser to make payment and arrangements.

Booking Terms & Conditions

1. The Nottingham Gateway Hotel reserve the right to transfer a party night and offer an alternative date with plenty of notice. You have the right to request a refund of your deposit. The hotel reserves the right to amalgamate or cancel Christmas events to ensure appropriate numbers. We also reserve the right to vary, amend move the event to a smaller or larger function suite should numbers dictate.

2. Places can be booked provisionally by telephone but must be confirmed within 7 days with a deposit, or the provisional booking with automatically be released.

3. Deposits and pre-payments are non-refundable or transferable.4. Multiple cheques/credit cards are not acceptable - one cheque/

card per party.5. Once the booking is made we request that all communications

are made through the Christmas Office to avoid confusion. Open Monday - Friday 9:00am-5:00pm.

6. Cheque and credit card payments can be sent by post, made over the telephone or at reception. Cheques require 21 days clearance. One cheque per booking. Cash payments can only be received at the hotel reception desk - please wait for your receipt.

7. The final balance for your event will be due 3 weeks prior to the event or on a specific date which is listed in the Brochure. Additional places booked after full payment has been made must be paid for at the time of booking and are subject to availability.

8. Special Diets: Group’s organisers are requested to ensure that all special dietary requirements are notified in advance and confirmed in writing to the Christmas Co-ordinator. If guests require the Vegetarian Option then these need to be pre-ordered by your final payment date. Upon receiving your order a confirmation letter will be sent. Please can you ensure you receive this as if this is not received then a pre-order has NOT been made. A special vegetarian selection is incorporated in all menus.

9. Dress Code: The dress code for all functions is smart casual (smart jeans only, no trainers allowed), unless otherwise stated in the brochure. Management reserve the right to refuse admission. Fancy dress is welcomed for our Party Nights.

10. Seating Arrangements: Table arrangements are at the discretion of the event manager. The Gallery Restaurant offers straight tables with a maximum of 10 guests on each table. Large parties will be seated close together. The Orchard Suite offers straight and round tables to seat 10-14 guests. Large parties will be seated close together. Smaller parties will be combined to make up tables of 10-14 (please note we will not split up small parties - you will be seated on the same table).

11. Drinks Service in The Gallery Restaurant: You will be asked for a credit card guarantee if table service for drinks is required. Otherwise it will be assumed that guests will go to the bar for service and pay on a cash basis.

12. All our evening functions are for over 18s only.

13. No wines, Spirits or Soft Drinks may be brought into the hotel by guests for consumption on the premises. It is against the law for your guests to bring alcohol onto the hotel premises and consume it anywhere other than in the privacy of their own bedroom. We will respectfully approach any guest who we believe has brought in their own alcohol and confiscate accordingly, guests involved will be asked to leave. In the event of resistance or confrontation the guest/party organiser will be advised of the problem and if the matter cannot be resolved to the satisfaction of the licensed Manager in charge of the event the disco will stop playing, the lights in the room will be turned on and the bar closed. The hotel will not take responsibility for any compensation should this set of circumstances present itself.

14. The Nottingham Gateway Hotel reserves the right to refuse admission and to remove from the event any person whose condition in the opinion of The Nottingham Gateway Hotel staff, interferes or is likely to interfere with the enjoyment of the function by other participants.

15. All prices include VAT at the prevailing rate.16. The Management of the hotel reserves the right to refuse entry

to the hotel. In Addition, the hotel reserves the right to charge the organiser, company or individuals for any damages caused by unreasonable behaviour

17. No smoking allowed in the hotel.18. Alcoholic beverages will only be served to over 18s. Please

drink responsibly. We operate a challenge 25 policy.19. MAINTENANCE & IMPROVEMENTS The Hotel will use its reasonable endeavors to ensure that all

necessary maintenance, development or refurbishment work which the Hotel undertakes is carried out in such a manner as to minimize any noise and inconvenience caused to its Guests.

20. CANCELLATIONS BY THE COMPANY The Hotel shall not be liable for any failure to provide facilities

contracted for in the event of its being prevented from doing so as a result:

a) Of fire b) Extreme weather conditions c) Flood d) Disturbance riot e) Industrial action/ dispute with employees f) Alteration /decoration g) By order of any public authority. h) If the customer becomes insolvent or enters into liquidation

or receivership. i) If it might prejudice the reputation of the Company. j) Or any other causes beyond its control. In such event, the Company will refund any advance payment

made, but will have no further liability to the customer. 23
