St Mary the Virgin Cheshunt WEEKLY NEWS SUNDAY 19 MAY 2019 FIFTH SUNDAY OF EASTER WELCOME Welcome To Our Service Today: Please stay after the 10am Service for refreshments in Church. If this is your first visit to St Marys do make yourself known to one of the Clergy or a Welcomer. Communion: All are welcome at the Lords table. If you do not usually receive the Bread and Wine please come forward and bow your head for a prayer of blessing. Gluten Free Wafers are available, please speak to a Churchwarden or Welcomer before the Service. Regular Giving: All church members are asked to give regularly and generously using a safe and efficient system called the Parish Giving Scheme. Please ask a Welcomer or a Churchwarden for an application pack if you have not yet signed up. Please remember to collect a laminated card before the Service to place in the collection. Gifts From Visitors: If you are a UK taxpayer, please ask for a white gift aid envelope to increase the value of your gift by 25%. Sound System: There is a loop system in operation, please set your hearing aid to Tand adjust the volume as necessary. Parking is available in the small car park adjacent to Whithern Park. The Council informs us that the gates will not be locked. Toilet and Baby Changing Facilities are available in the temporary office / toilet building at the rear of Church House car park. The Portacabin is temporarily being used as a Site Office for the work going on in Church House therefore the office is still operating from elsewhere, so if you need to see or speak to Carol from the Parish Office, please call 01992 635190 before visiting. PRAYERS If you would like a prayer said with you after the service, or at any other time, please speak to the Clergy. NOTICES THE FLOWERS at the pulpit are given in loving memory of Pamela Henriksen. A RECITAL FOR FLUTE AND GUITAR with Alicia Dine and Roland Gallery on Sun 19 May, 3pm in Church. Cost £5 on the door, with refreshments and raffle. A drama in Music and the Italian Connection. THE FIRST MEETING OF THE NEW PCC will be on Mon 20 May at 7.30pm preceded by the Eucharist at 7pm. If PCC members have not received the Agenda and Minutes of the last meeting please contact Vicky. The MothersUnion invites everyone to this special afternoon. CHILDRENS SOCIETY: If you have been collecting for the Childrens Society, could you please return your box so the money can be counted and paid to the charity.
