Important Note:

In larger public interest, Thapar University has decided to postpone the ‘In person’ counselling of BE/BTECH

scheduled to be held on July 9-10, 2014 for ‘General Category’ candidates to July 21-22, 2014. Candidates

are advised to remain in touch with http://thapar.edu/content.html for latest updates.

Schedule for Counselling/document checking is under:

(i) July 07, 2014

a) Counselling including fee deposit of Board toppers of 2014 : 9.00 AM

b) Document Checking of selected candidates: The BE/BTech candidates who have got selected

through online rounds & paid the total fee, if satisfied with the allotted discipline i.e. the provisionally

admitted candidates who do not want further up gradation are only required to come on July

7,2014 for document checking.

Those provisionally admitted candidates (General Category) who want further up gradation of their branch

are requested not to come on July 7, 2014. They may report on July 21-22, 2014 during ‘In-Person

Counselling’ and get their document checking done during the ‘In Person’ round of Counselling.

Note: The candidates eligible under sports category i.e those having passed 10+2 from Punjab as per eligibility, obtained minimum presribed marks in JEE(Main)-2014 and are also having gradation certificate (A or B or C) issued by Director Sports Punjab are requested to report Thapar University alongwith Original gradation certificate, 10+2 DMC and JEE(Main) score card at 10.00 AM on July 8, 2014. In case of delay in preparation of sports merit by office Director Sports Punjab then the admission will be made on July 21, 2014 at 9.00 AM in the University Auditorium.

J & K students and N-E students 11.00 AM on July 8, 2014

The Counselling for J & K students and N-E students shall be done on July 8, 2014 at 11.00 AM. The candidates are advised to come to Thapar University alongwith 10+2, domicile of J & K/ N-E states, JEE Main score and fee. (iii) First round for General Category candidates(postponed from July 9-10, 2014)

Fee to be paid: Either in cash or in the form of DD in favour of ’Thapar University, Patiala’ payable at

Patiala. Without Hostel fee: Rs 1,13,400/- Hostel Accommodation: Hostel will be allocated on the payment of Rs 27,000/-. Students, who want Hostel facility are also required to bring Rs. 3,500/- in cash to be paid to the
