NOTICE OF CONSTRUCTION PG&E DEEP-WELL ANODE AND RECTIFIER SYSTEM INSTALLATION ON TWIN CREEKS DRIVE Planned Construction Period: November to December 2021 Staff issued an Encroachment Permit to PG&E to install a deep-well Anode and Rectifier System that will restore cathodic protection in the surrounding area at Twin Creeks Drive, as shown on Exhibit A. The California Public Utility Commission (CPUC) mandates PG&E to apply cathodic protection to all gas distribution and transmission pipelines to maintain public safety and corrosion compliance standards. PG&E’s contractor, Underground Construction Company, Inc. (UCCI) is scheduled to begin work this month. The scope of work consists of the following: drilling an 8” x 200’ deep well, approximately 10 feet from the face of the curb; creating one 4’ x 4’ bell hole; and installing an ornamental cabinet rectifier system behind the sidewalk.
