Title Slide

• The first slide of a presentation• Purpose: to introduce the topic to the

audience

Provides consistency in color and design throughout the entire presentation

Background Styles

• Have designs that may include color, shading, patterns, or textures

• Fill Effects – add pattern and texture to a background, which adds depth to a slide

• A symbol (such as a heavy dot) or other character that precedes text when the text warrant special emphasis• Creates levels for information points

LEVEL• A position within a structure, such as an

outline, that indicates the magnitude of importance

• There is a total of 5 level in PPT•Demoting – Lower level paragraph•Promoting – Higher level paragraph

MULTI-LEVEL BULLETED LIST• A slide that consists of more than one

level of bulleted text• Tab -> to indent (Demote)• Shift+Tab -> Reverse the indent

(Promote)

Layout

• Specifies the arrangement of placeholders on a slide

• The properties or characteristics of text•Font•Style: bold, underlined, shadow, etc.•Size•Color

ClipArt

•A pre-designed graphic•Helps the visual appeal •Offers a quick way to add professional-looking graphic images

Resizing

• Includes both enlarging and reducing the size of a clip art graphic•Selection Rectangle – has small squares and circles•Sizing Handles – located at each corner and middle

• An effect added to a slide as the presentation changes from one slide to the next

Slide Transition

VIEW• The mode in which the presentation

appears on your screen

• Three views:•Normal•Slide Sorter•Slide Show

NORMAL VIEW• View used to set up slides

• Composed of two working areas:•Slides pane•Outline pane

SLIDE SHOW VIEW

•Fills the entire screen and allows you to see the show just as your audience would see it

SLIDE SORTER VIEW• Used when you want to see all of the

slides at the same time• A thumbnail version of each slide is

displayed
