They will talk to clients and their families to find out how people use day services. Different groups of people will share the day services at Bridport. Some people did not like this idea at first. Now people are pleased about it. The day service at Verwood will become a connect service. This means that more older people will be able to use it. Tricuro Transport Some people could not get to the Dorset People First speaking up event. This is because of problems with transport and not having enough staff. 8. Transforming Care Programme Care and treatment reviews Reviews often happen after people have gone into hospital. It is not always possible to get the right care for people in Dorset when they come out of hospital. Learning Disability Death Review (LeDeR) There are only four people in Dorset doing the reviews. This is not enough. Reviewers do not get paid and have to go on a training course. Emma Duff is the local area contact. It is now easier to write about someone’s Learning Disability on a death certificate. Safe Havens There are 3 safe havens in Dorset for people with Learning Disabilities. There will soon be 19 more places to stay.
