Notability Initial Setup Since students and teachers in almost every course will use Notability, it is imperative that the app be setup and organized for maximum security and eciency. The following steps will ensure that work done in Notability will be synchronized with and archived in cloud storage to prevent lost data, even in the event of a damaged or misplaced iPad. 1.) iCloud Settings First, launch the Settings app to be sure you are signed into iCloud and are syncing “Documents and Data”: To sign into iCloud, you will need your Apple ID and password (used in the App Store, iTunes Store, and/ or iBooks Store) 2.) Backing up to GoogleDrive Launch Notability and enter the app’s Settings via the gear icon. In the “Auto-Backup” tab in Notability’s settings, select GoogleDrive. Sign into your account and grant Notability access to your GoogleDrive (you will need your Kellenberg e-mail address and password).

Notability Initial Setup!!Since students and teachers in almost every course will use Notability, it is imperative that the app be setup and organized for maximum security and efficiency. 3.) Backing up to iCloud!Select the third tab in Notability’s settings, labeled “iCloud.” Toggle the switch so that iCloud backup is on (you should see blue)."!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!If the student receives an error message that they cannot back up to iCloud or that the service is unavailable, please instruct the student to reset his or her iPad. This is done by pressing and holding the Home and Sleep buttons simultaneously. After 5-10 seconds of holding the buttons down, the screen will go black. Shortly after that, you will see the Apple logo, and the iPad will reboot. "!Once fully rebooted, open Notability and attempt to sync to iCloud again. Repeat if necessary until connected to iCloud."!!
