SCOPE OF WORK

● Furniture, artwork, lighting.

● Bathroom art and decor, kitchen art and decor.

● Interested in fabulousness, permanent improvements, and less concerned with durability and longevity.

● Create a luxury, cohesive design that is impressive and unique and that coordinates with the rest of the home.

THE RDID DESIGN PROCESS

Our design process is collaborative and iterative so that the end result exceeds your expectations in every way. We are full service, all you need to do is provide your feedback.

Our process has already started! We begin by consulting with our client to get an understanding of the space, the scope of work and your goals.

Next, is our inspiration phase where we go over some imagery with you to get your detailed feedback, which will help us create moodboards for your project. The moodboards set the tone of your design and illustrates the elements and style that we’ll use as a guide as we design your home.

After your moodboard is created and approved by you, your project gets a name that encapsulates that essence of what we’re going for.

Next, we will measure and begin to design your spaces, including individual elements and details. During this phase we will gather and present drawings, details, materials, furniture, and fixtures. Your feedback throughout this phase will be used to refine and finalize the design.

As progress is made and ideas become finalized, architectural drawings will become more detailed and 3D renderings will be provided when requested. We use the latest design technologies to communicate our ideas and our vision throughout the design process.

PROCUREMENT, CONSTRUCTION and PROJECT MANAGEMENT

APPROVALS and PROCUREMENT

After all furniture, fixtures, and drawings have been finalized and approved, we send for firm estimates and simultaneously create a complete budget. We then place orders and oversee and coordinate all tracking and deliveries. We manage all issues that come up for our clients and mitigate and resolve anything that may delay the project completion.

CONSTRUCTION and PROJECT MANAGEMENT

Our team selects, hires and fully manages vendors, fabricators and artisans needed to complete your project. We have a list of vendors that we’ve worked with for years. We work with our builders and vendors to finalize our construction schedule.

During the construction and implementation phase, we are on site several times a week to make sure everything is completed to perfection and that our projected timeline is adhered to. Construction and project management involves a lot of moving parts. You should expect issues to arise, but rest assured we will always keep you informed of any issues and resolve them.

RDID installs everything to perfection, including furniture and décor. We will create a punch list and complete a walk through with the client and all contractors. In the end, an RDID interior is characterized by an unparalleled attention to detail and luxury that you can indulge in daily.

PHOTOGRAPHY and PUBLICATION

Our team works with world-renowned photographers to document the finished product. Expect your beautiful home to be featured on our blog, website and in industry publications. RDID projects have been featured in leading industry publications, like Architectural Digest, Elle Décor, Better Homes & Gardens, and the Chicago Business Journal. Your name, personal information, and home address will never be included in any publication or on our website, unless we have received your approval to do so.

CEO and Creative Director, Rae Duncan, is passionate about creating environments that reflect the unique personalities of her clients. She founded RDID to bring her bold, eclectic tastes and a high level of sophistication to the luxury residential and commercial markets. Her spaces are both personal and highly functional, reflecting her commitment to elevating function and practicality into an aesthetic art form. Rae prides herself on being able to accommodate any aesthetic and is fluent in a range of styles from traditional to modern. Rae has a background in the creative arts and earned a master’s degree in interior design from Harrington College of Design. She has been called a force in the Chicago Interior Design Industry by Chicago Business Journal and recognized on multiple media platforms for her bold aesthetic and innovative style.

VP of Finance and Operations, Frida Brooks, is a certified public accountant with a creative spirit and love for design, art and culture. She is thrilled to be a part of this dynamic team, taking care of the practical side of business while feeling inspired by the team’s creativity and accomplishments. Frida has 10 years of accounting experience in numerous industries including public accounting and National Geographic. She was treasurer for the American Woman's Club in Dublin and dedicated 3 years organizing fundraisers and planning events benefiting Irish children’s hospitals.

Originally from Sweden but lived in eight countries Frida loves to travel, explore and learn about new cultures. She has her Masters in Accounting from Trinity University in San Antonio, Texas.

Senior Designer, Abby DeAtley is passionate about all things design and lives for creating beautiful yet functional

spaces, environments, and moments. Having studied Interior Design, from the Columbus College of Art and Design,

Abby has spent most of her career designing highly experiential environments ranging from retail stores, pop-up

shops, and events to luxury hospitality interiors. In her past experiences, she has even had the opportunity to create a

stage design for Katy Perry, you never know where the design will take you. Abby’s style is eclectic, pulling influence

from classic traditional but bringing in mix of modern statements and sophisticated yet creative accents. After working

in the design industry, she has grown to appreciate and love all styles. “The longer you design the more you grow to

see the possibility in each”.

BILLING and NEXT STEPS

HOURLY

For residential projects, we bill bi-monthly at $150/hour.

NEXT STEPS

Please let us know if you have any questions after reviewing this proposal. We are sending an invoice and contract with this proposal. We we request a retainer of $7,000 with all projects, which will be held until the end of the project and applied to your final invoice or returned to you. We are looking forward to working with you and creating an exquisite designer home for you.
