RELIGION

About 77 % of the population belongs to the evangelical Lutheran Church of Norway, though many people are not members practicantes.55 The State rests to the Church and the king names the clergymen. Nevertheless, there is guaranteed the religious complete freedom and there exist Protestant and catholic groups that represent 4 % of the population. The Norwegians remain registered as members of the Church of Norway on having been baptized, and use the services of baptisms, confirmation, marriage and funeral, which are very established in the culture of this country.

A bit more than 10 % of the population was not affiliated to the official church on January 1, 2009. Other Christian names congregate 4,2 % of the population, including the Free Lutheran Evangelical Church, the Catholic Roman Church, the Church Baptizer, the Church Adventist, Church Methodist, and congregations, between others. Between the religions you do not christen the Islam it is the biggest, and the second one in major growth. A 1,5 % of the population they are Moslem. This one it is practised by Somali immigrants, Arabs, Albanians and Turks, as well as Norwegians of Pakistani ancestry.

Other religions that have less than one 1 % are the Judaism, the Mormonism (Jesus Christ de los Santos's Church of Last Days) and the Jehovah's Witnesses. The immigrants hindúes introduced the Hinduism, which possesses less than 5,000 followers. The Buddhism possesses 11 associations and shelters 0,42 % of the population. Parts of the minority Sami retain his religion chamanística in spite of the fact that they were converted to the christianity at the end of the 18th century by Norwegian and Danish missionaries.

PLANING TRIP TO NORWAY

We started our trip on May 22, 2013 with 8 days and 7 nights:

Visit different places in Norway, of which later show.

-The sixth day we will place at the Preikestolen Hostel where we will spend the following two nights where there are great views.

 

The seventh day we will visit the famous Church Heddal Standing timber and enjoy the landscape

The eighth day we will spend the night at this spectacular hotel where we can relax with and enjoy quietness of the area where you are and we will have our last visit in the Nasjonal Galleriet.
