Inclusion on the 5th Annual AP District Honor Roll is based on the examination of three years of AP data, from 2012 to 2014, for the following criteria: Increased participation/access to AP by at least 4 percent in large

districts, at least 6 percent in medium districts, and at least 11 percent in small districts;

Increased or maintained the percentage of exams taken by African American, Hispanic/Latino, and American Indian/Alaska Native students, and;

Improved performance levels when comparing the percentage of students in 2014 scoring a 3 or higher to those in 2012, unless the district has already attained a performance level at which more than 70 percent of its AP students are scoring a 3 or higher.

We are currently working on providing an opportunity for online AP Exam purchasing for parents and students in NISD.

As the fall semester closes, campus administrators will begin the second round of Instructional Planning Report meetings with AP Teachers , as well as planning for 2 Spring Semester meetings.

Follow-up conversations around Vertical Teaming and calibrating common assessments for AP Courses planned for January and Summer Staff Development.

Steele AHS became a TSI Testing site in the Fall of 2014, enabling Collegiate Academy students to take the TSI Assessment on-site. In addition, this will also enable all NISD students the

New course proposals at the 10th grade level for PSAT/NMSQT support in ELA and Mathematics.

Summer preparation options offered by NISD currently being redesigned as part of this 4 year plan.

Currently defining the bridge opportunities from MS to HS for PSAT/NMSQT identification and support.

Utilizing the same platform (Advanced Academics PLC), we are redesigning our embedded SAT and ACT support opportunities for the 2015-16 school year.

All NISD 11 th Grade students will be off ered the ACT Test this Spring (April 28) at NISD HS Campuses.

All NISD 12 th Grade students were off ered the ACT Test this fall. 95+% took ACT

DUAL CREDIT AND COLLEGE SUCCESS

Dual credit participants were more likely to persist in college to a second year in both two year and four year public institutions in Texas than those students who did not participate in dual credit options.

As for the graduation rate, dual credit participants had higher four-year and five-year graduation rates than their non-dual credit peers at each public institution in Texas.
