ADMISSIONS CHECKLISTFollow this checklist to be admitted to NEO A&M College:

SCHEDULE A CAMPUS VISITYou, your family, and your friends will all get a chance to visit the NEO campus and take a tour. Tours are available by appointment Monday through Friday. Your guide will accompany you as you visit classes, instructors, coaches, and stop by residence halls, Admissions, the Center for Academic Success and Advisement, and Financial Aid.

APPLY FOR SCHOLARSHIPSApplications for academic and foundation scholarships for the fall semester are due by March 1. Visit neo.edu/fin-aid to see a list of available scholarships and to download scholarship applications.

APPLY FOR ADMISSIONApply online through the Admissions webpage. Send your high school transcript or GED scores, immunization records, ACT scores if available, and any college transcripts to the Admissions office.

APPLY FOR FAFSAVisit the Financial Aid webpage and complete the financial aid application.

APPLY FOR HOUSINGPrint your housing application off the Recruitment webpage and select your residence hall package. Submit your housing application with the refundable room deposit.

Northeastern Oklahoma A&M College lies within Miami, Oklahoma. Home of nearly 15,000 people, students will feel comfortable in the tight-knit community with 11 parks, the scenic Neosho River, and historic Route 66. Miami also offers dozens of restaurants offering everything from burgers from Waylan’s Ku-Ku to gourmet options at Stonehill Grill. Students looking for an evening out can also visit the breathtaking Coleman Theatre “Beautiful” or enjoy the latest film at the Miami Cineplex.

ACADEMIC CLUBS AND HONOR SOCIETIES - NEO offers several academic clubs where you can apply the skills you have learned in class. From our Accounting Club to our award-winning Phi Beta Lambda Business Club, students can participate in skill-building exercises, trips, and activities. Regardless of your major, you can work together with people who share your interests. NEO is also home to one of the oldest chapters of the Phi Theta Kappa International Honor Society in the United States.

INTRAMURAL AND SPORT CLUBS - Whether you play for one of NEO’s sports teams or just love competition, NEO offers several intramural sports and sport clubs. From softball and flag football to bowling and table tennis, NEO intramurals take place during both spring and fall semesters.

STUDENT ACTIVITIES - Your options on campus don’t stop with clubs and organizations. NEO offers several free events each semester. Speakers, musicians, art exhibits, and more give every student the opportunity to have a true “big campus experience.”

At NEO, we are dedicated to creating well-rounded students. That means training your body as well as your mind. When you become a student at NEO, you have access to a full range of wellness resources. The NEO fitness center offers free weights and guided resistance training, as well as treadmills, bikes, and elliptical trainers. We also offer a core fitness room equipped with kettlebells, medicine balls, cycles, and rowing machines. Finally, NEO offers a 75-foot, six lane, short course competition swimming pool.

AGRICULTUREIs your perfect day spent outdoors? Do you have a passion for the natural world or working with animals? If so, the NEO A&M Agriculture Department is for you!

From wildland fire management to agribusiness, you will learn the skills you need to make a successful career in the agriculture field. Students get hands-on experience at the state-of-the-art Animal Science Teaching Facility, and a low student-to-teacher ratio means there is always an opportunity to have your questions answered and perfect your skills. NEO A&M’s Natural Resource Ecology & Management program also gives students the opportunity to earn their red card wildland fire certification.

NEO A&M Ag also offers several athletic and competition programs. Livestock judging, equine judging, equestrian, and a nationally recognized rodeo program offer students the opportunity to compete for NEO while earning valuable leadership and teamwork skills. Students can also compete for four years at NEO through the Missouri State Pathways program, which allows students to earn a bachelor’s degree from Missouri State while in residency at NEO.

COMMUNICATION & FINE ARTSAre you a leader who loves to meet new people? Maybe music and rhythm are part of your daily soundtrack.

Our graduates not only receive a foundation of fundamental college courses, but also have a chance to create in a hands-on environment.

With a low student-to-teacher ratio, NEO students get more studio time, more stage time, and more performance time in modern facilities such as Kah-Ne Hall. Artists can master a range of mediums from cartoon art, to cinematography, to ceramics, while performing artists receive both onstage and backstage skills.
