TELS is another name for the

Tennessee HOPE Scholarship Your TELS eligibility status is sent only to

the school you designate as first choice on the FAFSA.

If you decide to enroll at a college or university that was not your first choice,

you should amend the FAFSA and submit the Change of Institution to TSAC by using the TSAC Student Financial Aid Portal.

The Scholarship Application is separate from the Admissions Application. The Scholarship Application is the selection

committee’s first impression of you! Paper or Online Submission?

Applications should be: Neat (Preferably Typed) and Grammatically Correct Complete with all requested documentation Delivered by the deadline date

Reminder! College Transcripts 1. Request an official transcript to be included with your Application

for Admission. 2. You may need to send a transcript with your Scholarship

Application as well. 3. You must send a final, official transcript that shows your

final cumulative college-level GPA and degree awarded. It is your responsibility to ensure that official college transcripts are received by the scholarship deadline(s) at the transfer college or university. You must complete a Request for Northeast State Transcript form.

Allow enough time for the paperwork to be processed by the Office of Admissions and Records to meet the published scholarship deadline(s) of the transfer school.

Is there enough time for NeSCC to mail the transcript or will you have to pick it up and FedEx it?
