HELP WANTED! Sign Up for Community Project for Next Year

NWC/F actives who have not yet signed up for a community project for the 2015-2016 club year need to do so by May 15. Although the sign-up book will be at the May meeting, you may sign up for a project by emailing Kathleen Drewno at [email protected] with your choice(s) of community project(s). By emailing Kathleen, you have a better chance of being able to sign up for the project(s) of your choice before they get filled. These projects are especially in need of volunteers:

Special Interest Committee Thank You

What a great year for Special Interest trips and events. We took trips downtown to eat Italian and German food. Practiced our crafts decoupaging a vase; refurnishing furniture; and painting a masterpiece to frame. Also, we learned about fall and spring plantings at Red’s. We partied and played Bocce ball at Pinstripes and then took an exercise class to burn off all those extra calories.

Please take the time to thank those committee members that brought you these wonderful events: Julie Allen, Mindy Koehler, Dara Owen, Sarah McNally, Carolyn Nyren, Michelle Rosenson, Jennifer Nermerson, Karen Zera, and Susan Zera.

A heartfelt thanks to the 2014-2015 Philanthropy- Grants committee members for their diligent and thoughtful participation. It has been my true pleasure to work with Laura Birt, Pam Buchholz, Amy Cooke, Buffy Ervin, JoJo Hebl, Chris Heydt, Jamie Knez, Lisa Kunkel, Leena Ramachandra, Kristine Schwandner, Tamara Solarich and Cathy Van Duzer. Through their efforts, funds raised by members were allocated too many outstanding and worthy organizations.

This committee had such a great time putting together so many beautiful little dresses and a few little britches, too. We want to give a great big thank you to our FABULOUS committee. Christi Cooper, Elisa Glass, Jaime Knez, Janice Larson, Judy McKay, Lynne Montgomery, Sue Morley, Keri Muldoon, Kathy Paleczny, Kathy Patelski, Jackie Purcell, Lori Spencer, Susan Zera and this spring's new members Kathi Burow, Rebekah Cawley, and Clare Teal all cheerfully cut, sewed, sized and ironed these beautiful little dresses. We completed 103 dresses and 10 pairs of boys shorts. Many thanks to this fun and talented group of ladies!
