Join us for free family fun this Easter School holidays can be an expensive time for families, so this Easter, we’re hosting an egg hunt competition, which can be enjoyed free by every member of the family. The hunt will take you to every corner of the square, as you try and find the colourful egg stickers that are hiding in store windows, before ending the trail in Poplar Way to guess how may eggs are in the box. To take part in the egg hunt, simply pick up your entry card from the retailers in Mell Square, and once complete, the card can be returned to the post-box – found at Virgin Holidays in House of Fraser, Drury Arcade – to be in with a chance of winning a prize bundle from selected retailers. Plus to help celebrate our launch day (Saturday 31 March), the Easter bunny will be on-site (10.30am to 12.30pm), where the first 50 families will be given an exclusive goodie bag!

Illustration workshop with Megan Walker Easter holiday fun! We are excited to invite you to a workshop with the incredibly talented Megan Walker, artist from Franny's Father is a Feminist. Franny's Father is a Feminist. It's simple, really! He knows that girls can do anything boys can do, and raises Franny to believe that she deserves all the same rights, freedoms, and opportunities that he had. Through sweet, straightforward prose, Franny's Father portrays the loving bond between a young girl, and her father who isn't afraid of bucking gender norms in order to ensure that his daughter grows up smart, strong, and full of self-confidence. Megan will be helping you create your own characters and reading from the book! Please note: This is a free event but booking is essential. To book tickets, please call, email us at [email protected] or speak to a bookseller in store.
