110 NORTH CAROLINA CANDIDATES PASS UNIFORM CPA EXAMINATION

Raleigh, North Carolina-The North Carolina State Board of Certified Public

Accountant (CPA) Examiners is pleased to announce that 110 North Carolina

candidates successfully completed the Uniform CPA Examination by passing one or

more Exam sections during the period January 2009 - March 2009.

The Uniform CPA Examination tests a candidate's knowledge and skills in four major

areas-Auditing & Attestation; Financial Accounting & Reporting; Regulation; and

Business Environments & Concepts.

The successful Uniform CPA Examination candidates must now meet the education,

work experience, and moral character requirements of the Board to become licensed as

CPAs in the State of North Carolina.

Established by Chapter 93 of the North Carolina General Statutes, the State Board of CPA Examiners is anoccupational licensing board that grants certificates ofqualification as CPAs to those individuals who meet the legalrequirements. The Board also adopts and enforces the rules of professional ethics and conduct to be observed byCPAs in North Carolina. North Carolina has more than 17,500 active CPAs.
