North Anderson Baptist Church
“A Light of God’s Love”
A small Church, In a small Town, Serving a Big GOD.
God’s Revelation to North Anderson Baptist is…”To honor and glorify God through
worship, prayer, teaching, community service and mission opportunities.”
Volume 18 Issue 6 June 2017
From Your Pastor…
Dear church family,
As we begin to think of the summer coming with all
of the great things to experience, let me remind you
that Jesus is always with you wherever you go. You
may not be here with us on Sunday’s but the Savior is
with you. “Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous.
Do not be terrified; do not be discouraged, for the Lord your God will
be with you wherever you go.” Joshua 1:9 Now, I realize you are not
going to the land flowing with milk and honey but that you may be go-
ing away for a time, so know we will miss you when you are gone but
that God goes with you everywhere you end up going. Hold onto that
truth it is a powerful tool to remind you of God’s wonderful presence.
Speaking of being gone for a time during the summer months, don’t for-
get to give your tithes and offerings either by bringing them by the
church office “ahead of the time you leave or mail them or do them on
line.”
Continue to pray for your church family throughout the summer because
there is much going on from the TNT with the kids on Tuesdays or the
mission trip to Baltimore or the VBS. There is more so much more, so
pray that new people hear the Gospel and come to know the Lord Jesus
personally and that God is honored with every worship service that is
held.
Pastor Bill

Administration & Education…
I am sitting here writing this article and thinking of how did May get
here so quickly. With us moving around the corner and preparing for
summer I can’t believe it is time to think about TNT and VBS. The last
day of school 6th of June and then the summer, with all of its fun. Don’t

Pastor Bill Rigsby
Administration & Education…CONTINUED forget to turn in your TNT registration cards. We will start TNT this
year with a trip to the bowling alley. Then the next week is our swim day at the
George’s. Mining at Diamond Hill Mines is on the schedule so get ready to get
dirty. These are just some of the fun things we will be doing during the summer
TNT program. For those who are unfamiliar with TNT, TNT is our summer chil-
dren’s program that runs every Tuesday starting June 13th – Aug 15th. The July 4th
and July 25th Tuesdays, we do not meet because of the July 4th holiday and VBS
week. We meet at the church around 8:30 for fun, fellowship, and Bible Study.
We finish around 12 noon. Mark your calendars now.
Ok let me just say this, I am a nerd! Last year I told you about watching movies
that have a water theme. This year I am going to share about watching “Lost in
Space”. I loved that show. And I love reading about space, adventures, and about
people. Like I said, I am a nerd. This year’s VBS theme is “Galactic Starveyors”.
Last year we were in the water and this year we are in the stars. But on a serious
note Vacation Bible School is a very important time in a church. It is a valuable
time of growing and learning about God and many do make decisions for Christ
during this time. Please consider helping out this year with VBS, there are many
opportunities to serve. Please ask me or Chuck and Julie Carver about how you
can serve. The date for VBS this year is July 23 – 26.

Youth Happenings! School is almost over!!! Summer is right around the Corner!!! As a youth group,
we will be having our “Summer Kickoff” event at Kellie Gillespie’s house on
Saturday, June 10th
from 12 PM-4PM. Come ready for a day of swimming, pizza, fellowship, and getting that all impor-
tant sun tan!!!
Dennis will also be starting his TNT Tuesdays starting on Tuesday, June 13th. If
you would also like to be a part of any of those activity days please contact me or
Dennis and we will get you the information you need.
Please be continuing to pray for the Baltimore missions trip, the ones who will
be going, and the people we will have the opportunity to minister to!
I love and appreciate each and every one of you!!!
