4) Optical Media Advance Sensor and Optical Drop DetectorAutomaticallyachievehighimagequalityandconsistencywiththeHPOpticalMediaAdvanceSen-sor(OMAS)andtheOpticalDropDetector(ODD).OMAScontrolsthemediaasitadvancesthroughtheprinter,whichhelpsminimizebandingathighspeeds.ThedropejectionperformanceofeveryprintheadnozzleisperiodicallyandautomaticallytestedwiththeODD,providingprintsfreeofdefectsorerrorsthatcanresultininkandmediawaste.

InFigure3,acontinuouslatexfilmencapsulatingthepigmentshasformedonthevinylsurfaceastheprintleavestheCuringZone.
Theprintiscompletelydryandreadytouse,finish,andprepareforshipment.Sincecuringtakesplaceintheprinter,productionworkflowsareimprovedbecausenoexternaldryingprocessisrequiredandprintscanbelaminatedimmediately.
