i.O INTRODUCTION (Figure 1)
During the period March 25 to April 4, 1985, an airborne agnetometer survey was carried out by Aerodat Limited of 3883 Nashua Drive. Mississauga, Ontario, on behalf of Noranda Exploration Company, Limited. The property surveyed is shown on Figure 1. This report covers the work carried out on 9 claims (Appendix I) in the Thunder Bay Mining Division, known as the Killala Lake claim groups. The entire Aerodat survey covered 1360 line kilometers in the Hemlo area of Ontario. A total of 10.2 line kilometers were flown over the claims groups staked after this survey and on the basis of this survey.
2.0 SURVEY OPERATIONS AND INSTRUMENTATION
The survey area lies within the NTS map area 42 D&E. Flight line spacing was 250 meters with a nominal altitude of 60 meters. The survey was carried out using an Aerospatiale A-Star 350-D owned and operated by North Star Helicopters.
The survey was carried out employing a Geometrics G-803 proton precession magnetometer. Sensor altitude was 30 meters below the helicopter. Total field was measured. Contoured total field data is presented.
Navigation was carried out using a Motorola Mini-Ranger (MRS III) radar navigation system. A Hoffman HRA-100 radar altimeter was employed to record terrain clearance and the analog recorder was an RMS dot matrix recorder. A Perle DAC/NAV data system recorded the survey data on magnetic tape at 0.1 second intervals.
3.0 DATA COMPILATION
The flight path of the aircraft was recorded continuously by a Geocam strip camera on black and white 35mm film. Fiducial numbers for cross reference to the analog and digital data were recorded on the film.
Film and all records were developed, edited and checked at the completion of each flight. Recovery of the flight track was carried out by comparing the film to the topographic features of the base map.
Analog records were inspected for coherence and quality.

The airborne survey was flown in a Moderate to high grade gneissic terrain consisting of mafic remnants in the felsic gneisses. The trend in the southwestern part of the property is to the northwest. In the northeast part of the property the trend is northwest.
5.0 DISCUSSION OF RESULTS AND CONCLUSIONS
The magnetics on these two properties vary from slightly above 60,000 nts to less than 59.750 nts. The northern property is dominated by a low trending primarily to the northeast. However, the main part of the trend runs north to northwesterly. This may be suggesting that the area is the intersection of two faults.
The southern block is dominated by the same northerly trending low which indicates the fault zone is continuing along this trend.
The magnetic survey has located two probable fault zones and indicated a main zone of interest in the area of intersection.
Respectfully submitted
